Chapter 10

*joey's p.o.v* 

For the whole day I ran back and forth, trying to set this up. This date has to be perfect. It was a relief when Daniel liked it. The timing was a bit difficult as I wasn't quite sure when the sun would set. I had to make sure the food didn't go bad, the ice didn't melt, and make sure the flowers didn't start to wilt. 

After our little kiss we sat on the blanket and I grabbed two bottles of lemonade. Daniel shifted and leaned against me so we were both facing the sunset. "It's beautiful." he said. I took  a sip of my drink, humming in response. 

Turning away from the sunset I placed a kiss on the top of Daniel's head. When I had finished half of my drink I turned and grabbed the food. "I brought some snacks ." I said. Taking his attention away from the sun set, he turned his attention to me. 

"Sounds good." Daniel said. "I'm glad you have food, I am starving." Silence settled over us as we ate. It was getting dark fast and there are lots of hazards on the trail. No words were said, we both knew to hurry.

As quickly as possible Daniel and I packed. I had brought a flash light but I don't know if that will be enough. We power walked down the trail to his car. If we ran we could risk falling or tripping on something. 

Halfway to the car I started to feel light rain drops. You're kidding me, I thought, it has to rain? By time we made it to the car it was a steady pour. In the car we sat in silence for a minute, then started to laugh. 

"Thank you for the lovely date." Daniel said, leaning over to give me a kiss on the cheek. "I had a great time." I slowly back out, making sure I wouldn't hit anyone. The radio was playing quietly and Daniel was humming along. It started to rain harder and I knew we would be soaked by time we got to the dormitories. 

I found the closest parking spot and we stopped for a minute before we ran, Daniel before me. Thankfully we weren't to wet when we got to shelter. Just wet enough to have to change. Back in our dorm room we changed and relaxed. 

From all my running around I was pretty tired. I pulled a blanket over me. "I'm tired. 'Night." I said. Closing my eyes, I slowly fell asleep. My dreams were pleasant, filled with more dates with Daniel.

Today was the best day I've had in a while, and I hope to have many more.

I'm gonna make this short (and sweet ;) ). I have things planned for this book but right now I just can't figure out how to put them in to words.

oh, and as you may be able to tell, I got my new computer. 

I'm so sorry it's short, but I wanted incorporate just the day of the date in this chapter.
