Hikaru and Sakura looked up, facing the huge, fairytale like mansion.

They simultaneously looked down at the address Amaya had handwritten before class had started. Yup, this had to be the place.

Located in the richest part of town, it was no surprise that their friend was wealthy, due to her family owning a business but Jesus Christ this was just pushing it. Even the houses- no, castles around the house were extravagant and beautiful.

"Do you want me to do it?" Sakura asked.

"No, I'll do it. It's just a doorbell."

"But-"

"Hikaru! Kura!" A tall blonde figure had opened the large steel door. Before the both of them could react or protest otherwise, the presence enveloped the both of them into soft hugs.

"Glad you could come," Amaya smiled brightly.

It was Thursday afternoon, only one day before her long awaited trip to Tokyo. She was travelling there with Seijuro, who had insisted (basically pleaded but don't ever catch me telling you that) 'that they lived close to each other already, so why waste the petrol?' She had no choice but to agree after 5 minutes of pl- insisting. The boy had played a puppy face using those red eyes, how could she say no to that?

"Geez, Maya, why is you room so dark?" A complaining Hikaru whined. They were in Amaya's room now, helping the blonde in packing for tomorrow.

"I prefer it,"

"But Maya-chan, we can hardly see a thing." Sakura agreed. It was true, the large space around them was eerie looking, and, after a few moments of rolling her eyes, Amaya finally agreed.

"Fine-" She murmured reluctantly, standing up to open the golden brown curtains.

What happened next was a scene that would scar the rest of them for the rest of their lives.

One floor to the left of the three, was a showering, naked, Akashi, who noticed eyes on him after a few seconds. Slowly, he turned his head in their direction.

"CLOSE THE CURTAINS MAYA!" A stuttering, laughing on the floor Hikaru yelled in between (attractive) snorts.

"MAYA-CHAN PLEASE CLOSE THEM NOW." Even the orange haired girl shouted, her face almost as red as Akashi's hair.

Blinking out of her trance, she quickly closed the curtains in a dazed manner, enveloping the room in darkness once again.

"So... Anyone want me to order pizza?"

Everyday, the class would watch as one boy would get out of his chair and stalk his way to a certain green eyed girl.

'This has to be the one.' Some thought.

'Satoru-kun is handsome, popular and athletic, just like her. They'd make a perfect match.' The rest pondered.

"Um, May-chan," a smirking blue haired boy tapped his crush on her shoulder. "Would you please go out with me?"

A certain red-head, who was coincidentally sitting right behind Amaya, was practically fuming at the scene.

'A confession, in class and publicly right in front of his classmates? Does this boy have no class? There's not even any flowers or a corny, lovesick speech!'

Amaya could feel the undeniable anger radiating from the person sitting behind her. She rolled her eyes at his obvious jealousy, before proceeding to talk to her confessor.

"I'm sorry, Satoru-kun. I just don't feel any attraction towards you."

'She let him down with a smile!' The whole class sweatdropped.

"Wh-what?!" The boy, Satoru, stuttered, clearly not used to the rejection.

"You heard her. She said no." Akashi glared at the blue haired, narcissistic idiot, (his words once again) his eyes flashing gold menacingly.

Unbeknownst to them, an orange haired girl with mocha coloured irises watched and replayed the scene, observing the oblivious pair. She exchanged a look with Hikaru, and, if you ask the girl, she would say that she swore she had seen a sparkle flash through her red tinted glasses.

'These two unaware idiots. Wait, no, Maya-chan and Hikaru-chan's language must be getting to me. That sentence sounds rude.'

Akashi Seijuro. Basketball prodigy, Student Council member, heir to a powerful business and a formidable opponent in shogi. Has very few, if any, friends, but maintains a huge following of irritably screaming fangirls whenever he somewhat breathes in their direction. He was cold and distant with an  'I am absolute' mentality. However, it all changed after a mere two weeks. He had changed.

Kirishima Amaya. Also a prodigy, manager of Rakuzan High's basketball team. Highly influential with her modeling job and business connections. Calls everyone by their first names, cannot make good puns no matter how hard she tries. Always seems to be smiling, has a positive attitude and can instantly lighten up everyone's spirits, which earned her a hectic and frankly obsessive fanbase for her too-good-to-be-true qualities. Likes anything contains strawberries in it. Tall. Has dimples.

However, the two shared similarities despite their obvious differences. Yes, it was true that both were heirs to well-known businesses, but it was something deeper and darker than that. For both Amaya and Akashi never once mentioned their past, including family or anything of the sort. Not to mention, the apparent relationship the two had shared. In the present, however, the two seemed abnormally close, Amaya breaking Akashi's indestructible wall with a snap of a finger. It was clear he had a soft spot for the blonde. Plus, the former had seen him butt naked and didn't react even the slightest bit horrified, more borderline unamused.

Sakura didn't even need to analyse so carefully, she already knew. In fact, anyone within a 2 mile radius probably knew as well.

It was subtle things. The urge to be close to one another subconsciously, the way one blushed when the other accidentally touches them, how you could hear music playing in perfect harmony from a violin and a piano when you couldn't find the two.

Well, when she put it like that, it really didn't sound subtle.

The two shared a distinct look as they examined Akashi and Amaya, bickering about irrelevant things behind them. Today, it was whether or not the damn dress was black and blue or white and gold, the blonde seeing it the latter whilst the red-head saw it the former.

'Oblivious idiots. Well, at least now they're the oblivious idiots that like each other.' The orange haired girl thought to herself.

sorry it's going rlly fast, but ya gotta understand that the two knew each other since childhood meaning they already share the 'power of friendship.'
