Amaya leaned against the cold, cream tiled wall, rolling her eyes in an irritated manner.
Akashi was late. Of course.
"Hey, are you that girl from yesterday I'm Hayama Kotaro, pleasure to meet ya!" An enthusiastic voice snaps her out of her trance.
"Yeah." She confirms, eyeing the three figures that had followed this supposed 'Kotaro.'
One was muscular, with a stoic and unreadable expression planted on his face. He was quite the intimidator, his dark hair and similar coloured eyes making him look older and fiercer than he actually was. The other had a more feminine figure, tall and slender, accompanied with extremely long lashes, long dark hair and big, blue irises. Lastly, the boy that had talked to her had large, oval shaped eyes and short blond hair spread around his head in an untamed manner. He was shorter than Amaya, a feat that was common to her.
"It's nice to meet you too! I'm Kirishima Amaya." She introduced with the same bubbly tone, the other two giving her curt introductions.
"Strange, Akashi isn't here. He's almost always early. He has the keys to the court, after all." The muscular guy, Eikichi, muttered to himself.
The blonde closed her eyes. She could feel someone's unmistakable presence watching them from afar.
Seijuraho. The damn creep.
"Seijuro. If you're going to be sneaky, at least get rid of that obvious tension that you carry around with you."
The three Uncrowned Kings looked at Amaya weirdly. There's no way Akashi would be hiding. If anything he would be-
"You're sharp, Kirishima-san."
The three gasped in shock, their souls legitimately flying away from their bodies.
"Haven't I told you to call me Amaya? Calling me Kirishima reminds me of my aunt and uncle's business and the idiots that chased after me just to have the same status." She states bitterly, watching as the red-head unlocks the door to the basketball court.
"Well, I've told you numerous times to stop referring to me as 'Seijuro' and yet, you still don't listen. So why would I comply with your request?" Akashi fired back.
Smartass.
Kotaro watches their exchange curiously, trying to find out Amaya's relation to their usually cold, overpowering captain.
"Are you two boyfriend and girlfriend?"
Akashi coughs at the question whilst the blonde smirks evilly, resting her head on his stiffening shoulder.
"Yes, in fact we are. He was the frog I kissed on the way to middle school, although he didn't really turn into an handsome prince. It explains why he's so short and u-um, why he looks like he has a stick up his ass 24/7. Because before I kissed him, he was born with a literal stick up his frog ass, poor guy." She ruffled Akashi's hair mockingly.
The guy with the long, dark hair laughed in amusement whilst the other two were shocked at the little fear she had for the red-headed captain. She treated him like anyone would for close friends or family.
"Shut it Kirishima. We are not dating and we never will." Was Akashi's cold reply.
"You're saying that, but it's inevitable Sei. Didn't we make a promise to marry?" Amaya replies in a teasing manner, before proceeding to leave Akashi's shoulder. She picked up an abandoned basketball from the floor and began to spin it around using her index finger.
Akashi's eye flickered red at the memory.
"You remembered that?" He says softly.
The four were shocked at the vulnerability of his tone, a voice too kind and gentle to be the Akashi from mere seconds ago.
"A-anyway, that is not why I called you here today. You'll be playing a 1v3 against Reo, Eikichi and Kotaro. Prove your worth as our future manager." He commanded, taking the spinning basketball away from Amaya's finger.
"But Sei-chan! She's just a girl! I admit she's tall but she doesn't have the physical capabilities to defeat one, yet alone three of us." Reo protests.
Amaya smirks. Just by that one action, the whole atmosphere changed drastically.
"I was going to go easy on you... But I can see I don't have to." Her usual smile was depleted from her face.
The match starts immediately, Akashi not having the patience to wait any longer.
The tip off goes in favour of Eikichi, but unbeknownst to him, Amaya purposefully let him take it. As soon as the ball was passed to Kotaro, who was the nearest to the hoop, the blonde swooped in and stole the ball, shooting an easy three from half the court.
"Your lost is inevitable. Just accept it." She winks as she dunks the ball, too fast for Reo to comprehend.
The rest of the match carries on like this: as soon as one of the three got the ball, Amaya would steal it easily and shoot another three, or run at an inhumane speed and dunk the ball herself, not letting the other team even touch the ball.
After 10 minutes, the score was 42-0 (Blaze it).
"Too... Good." Kotaro gushed, amazed at the girl's sheer talent and skill. He was exhausted, even though they had just played for one quarter.
"What power, Amaya-san! Do you eat a lot too?" Eikichi questions.
"I was wrong. You're truly amazing, May-chan." Reo smiles at the blonde, wiping the sweat from his brows.
"Call her something else, Reo." Akashi, who was watching the pair, ordered.
"Jealous?" Amaya laughs at Seijuro's face, which was almost as red as his hair.
"No. It's just inappropriate to use for a first meeting." He retorts, scratching the back of his neck.
He had finished his analysis on Amaya. She was strong and agile, capable of shooting Midorima's high projectile three's whilst having the same lightning fast speed and sheer power as Aomine. However, her defence was lacking, shown in how she always stole the ball in comparison to blocking it from the net.
"We are done here. Welcome to Rakuzan's basketball team, Kirishima-san."
