hello :) just sorting out an issue, even if it's not directly the same date in the anime/manga: the winter cup preliminaries started on november 7th, before amaya joins. the actual winter cup starts on december, meaning the tournament starts after their tests. it probably doesn't make sense but oh well. get ready for a double update ^^

In the classroom, students were working hard and racking their brains in an feeble attempt to answer the never ending questions in front of them.

Of course, the three smartest people in the class had no problem at all, answering each problem like it was second nature. Coincidentally, they all sat directly in front of each other.

Yes, those three were in fact Akashi, Amaya and Sakura.

How about Hikaru, you ask?

Well, let's just say the less said about that one, the better. She was currently doodling mindlessly on her tests, not even trying to answer the questions.

"Time's up! We'll have your results posted on the board at 12pm today, make sure to check if you want to know how well you did." Mr. Yoshitaka explains.

Both Sakura and Amaya look in Hikaru's direction. They had all revised hard on the night that the two went over to Amaya's house. Well, by 'all' revised hard, that really only applied to the two of them.

'I bet she didn't even answer the questions.' Sakura noted, knowing what the raven haired girl was like.

'Did she really do nothing last Thursday night?' Amaya mentally facepalmed.

End of Term Exam Results, Class 1-A:

First Place: Akashi Seijuro, 1000 points.
First Place: Kirishima Amaya, 1000 points.
First place: Nanase Sakura, 981 points.
Second Place: Kurahashi Seiko, 977 points.

The list had carried on like this, going through all the names. I'm sure you already figured out who was at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Twenty-Seventh Place: Kurosaki Hikaru, 1 point.

The raven haired girl looked at the results, puzzled.

"We had the tests today?" She asked the three, confusion etched on her brown eyes.

"Hikaru-san, the tests were the papers you were drawing on." Akashi explained.

"Ohhhh. I didn't even read them. Oh well." Hikaru waved off casually.

"Hikaru-chan, those tests were important!" Sakura says, anger boiling at her carefree attitude. It was out of character for her to feel emotion, but she was genuinely surprised to see one of her best friends throw away their future so carelessly.

"How did you even get that one point?" Amaya laughed, glancing at the scoreboard.

"It's probably a pity point." Akashi mused.

"You too, Akashi-kun? You're all bullies." She cried comically, emphasising the last word in a passive manner.

Instantly, Hikaru was enveloped in a tight hug.

"Don't cry, Karu-chan! We'll make sure to revise twice as hard for the next exams, that's a promise!" Amaya grinned brightly.

"Ow, Maya! I can't b-breathe!" Hikaru gasped. Who knew a hug could be so deadly.

"Maya-chan, you're going to squish her with your boobs." Sakura says bluntly.

"Ah, sorry! My mistake." She lets go immediately, scratching the back of her neck sheepishly.

Akashi and Sakura sweatdrop simultaneously at her obliviousness. Meanwhile, a certain raven haired girl was raging with new found intent.

"Are you trying to mock me, Kirishima? Just because your boobs are big doesn't mean-"

Let's just say, the less said of this argument, the better.

Sakura and Hikaru mindlessly ate their chips, their expressions unamused. Why, you ask?

"Akashi-sama, please go with me to the school dance!"

"I'm sorry, Ikuma-san, but I'm going to have to say no."

Whilst, on the other side...

"Amaya-sama-chan! I'll bake you strawberry shortcake every morning, along with strawberry milkshake if you please go with me to the school dance! I'm begging!"

"Umm, Kato-kun, please don't lean on Sakura's food..."

"Is that a yes? Yes! I did it!"

"I'm pretty sure she told you not to ruin Sakura-chan's food, not in any way, shape or form confirm your request to go with her for the dance." Akashi glared.

"S-sorry, Akashi-san! I-I'll leave..."

And with that, all the fangirls and fanboys ran away, successfully distancing themselves to be within a 5 mile radius.

"Great job scaring them away again." Hikaru praised.

"Your glare does wonders, Akashi-kun." Sakura observed.

Amaya laughed. "They're relentless as ever, especially since the teachers told us about the school dance this morning."

Rakuzan High's Winter Ball. It was as formal as it sounded, mainly due to Rakuzan itself being a prestigious and well known high school. It was an event held on the 20th of December, after the Winter Cup had ended as well as the last day of school.

Of course, the fan clubs wasted no time in completely smouldering the two unaware victims. This happened everywhere. Corridors, the music room, etc. Wherever Amaya and Akashi went, there was always a crowd of people shortly following behind them. Amaya could've sworn she saw a note being passed to her from underneath the toilet stall.

"Who are you asking to the ball, Akashi-san?" Hikaru asked, although she had a sneaky suspicion that she already knew the answer.

Sakura noticed the way the red-head's cheeks blushed a little. It was a subtle colouring, but such an action didn't miss her attentive eyes.

"No one, most likely. What about you, May?" Akashi played off coolly.

"Probably no one as well." She answered back nonchalantly.

'Idiots. They're still trying to push away their feelings.' Sakura shook her head, playing with her glasses.

"Hey, isn't it the Winter Cup soon? We better win again this year, Maya and Akashi-kun!" Hikaru cheered.

The two smirked, and Sakura and Hikaru saw a flash of gold gleam brightly in their eyes.

"Of course we'll win. Our victory is absolute."
