"Is that Amaya-chan and Akashi-kun? Are they... Walking hand in hand?!"
"Akashi-kun's with who?! Now I'll never have a chance with Maya-sama!"
Akashi and Amaya were walking down the hallway, the latter's head comfortably leaning on the former's shoulder as the two continued to walk together, indeed hand in hand. They were unaware of the countless curious stares and comments that they were accumulating, only focusing on each other.
Amaya stopped suddenly, her eyes flashing gold for a brief second.
"Fall."
Complying, Akashi fell on the ground along with the blonde, watching in shock as a singular water balloon was flung above the both of them, splashing to the ground in a mess of slippery liquid.
"You!"
Standing up, Amaya faced the short, angry brunette that had thrown the balloon. Her dark, inky eyes held no remorse and was filled with the most bitterest of emotions.
A crowd was slowly forming around them, curious of the random girl that had dared to initiate a fight with two of the most popular people in the entirety of Rakuzan.
"My name is Amaya. It is not in any context, related or even remotely close to 'you.' Now, state your business, Izuhara Sayuri." Amaya says in a warning tone, emphasising her full name in disdain.
She made it very clear in her voice: she did not like this girl. Her expression was emotionless, her lips turning downwards slightly to form a unamused frown. It was a good thing she wasn't angry. For when Amaya was angry, all hell would break loose.
"You're my business. How dare you stand there indifferently, after stealing my Akashi away from me so openly! I will kill you with my bare hands, just you watch." She promised with malice.
"Tch. Stupid yandere. If you-"
Her retort was stopped when soft lips claimed hers, temporarily silencing her.
The crowding students gasped at the intimate gesture, watching as their student council president kissed his girlfriend in public with no shame whatsoever. Even Izuhara Sayuri, the girl with the most things to say had her overly caked red lips parted in shock, speechless.
"Izuhara-san. You will not touch my girlfriend in any way, shape or form, understood? If you do not comply, you yourself will be met with the fate you have cursed to others." Akashi warned, his warm red eyes becoming steely as he faced the brunette.
"Y-yes Akashi-sama. But please understand, I-I on-"
Akashi ignored Izuhara, turning to face Amaya like the former simply wasn't there.
"Saturday. I'll take you out, wherever you want. My treat." Akashi smiled slightly.
"Are you serious, Sei? Deal. It's a date." Amaya grinned, her eyes slightly crinkling and her becoming more dimples prominent.
Akashi interlaced his hand with hers, as if the scene prior had never even happened. The emerging crowd immediately subsided, creating a path for the two as they walked out of the school casually.
Basketball club had been cancelled as Eikichi 'accidentally' broke the hoop whilst doing a particularly harsh dunk, and unfortunately, Rakuzan didn't have any other replacements.
The walk home was unnaturally quiet. A strong tension hummed between them as the silence continued to grow. The only sounds they could hear were their own heartbeats, pushing them to do something that they both ached to do.
Akashi couldn't take it anymore. His mind was drunk on the girl beside him.
"May, can I kiss you?"
"Hmm? Seij-"
Just as she was about to reply, Akashi's lips melted into hers. The kiss was gentle, chaste and sweet, like daffodils swaying in the spring. However, when Amaya's hand accidentally came in contact with Akashi's exposed hip, everything immediately became more fast paced and intense.
Their tongues danced and battled for dominance, Akashi winning the fight after he had surprised Amaya by suddenly biting on her lip, making her moan inwardly.
Eventually, the two had to break apart when the struggle for air finally reached their senses.
"W-wow." She stutters, unable to keep the smile from her face.
"Wow." He whispers back breathlessly.
Ruby red met verdant green.
The two didn't need words, they knew exactly how the other felt.
Akashi was no longer drunk on Amaya Kirishima. He was completely and undeniably intoxicated, far beyond cure now he had gotten a simple taste.
"The theme park."
"What?" Akashi questions.
"The theme park. That's our date." Amaya smiles secretly, giving Akashi one last kiss to the cheek before departing to her household, leaving the red-head standing there curious at her choice of location.
