Chapter 1- Hi, Naida

Kaylie's POV

"CEDRIC SHINEDAWN!!! COME HERE RIGHT NOW!!" I yelled out.

"Kay!! Try to remain calm!! The pack's doctor is coming!!" he replied trying not to freak out.

Calm down?? Calm down??!! You aren't the one having a freaking baby coming out of you!!!!!

"Don't tell me to calm down!! You were the one who did this to me!!" I gripped the sides of the hospital bed in which I was resting my whole self in.

He rolled his eyes while holding my hand.

"You enjoyed it, a lot. Remember?" I groaned as another contraction made me arch my back.

"NOT. THE. TIME. FOR. THIS." I managed to say through the pain. Six months. I had been on an emotional rollercoaster for six months already. Yeah, weres pregancies tend to be shorter than that one of an average human.

Suddenly, the door opened with a loud bang as our parents rushed in with the doctor right with them.

"Sweetie, it's gong to be alright! Try breathing deeply in and out." my mom started breathing with me as sweat began covering my forehead.

"YOU TWO! OUT!" Cedric's mother ordered both men, who looked surprised.

"What? No! My baby is having her baby! My grandchild! I'm not missing this even if you bite my ear off!" I would have rolled my eyes if it wasn't for the pain I was going through.

They kept bickering about wheter they could stay or not, while Cedric focused on cleaning my sweaty face.

"Hello??? I'M HAVING A BABY HERE!!!" I closed my eyes as another bolt of pain struck me.

"Moon Goddess, I'm so sorry!! Kaylie!! Go back to your breathing!!!" both mothers turned their attention to me, while the pack's doctor examined... if I was ready for a baby to go out of me.

"You are ready!" she said as she gave me a look as if asking me if I was ready to push.

I nodded once and threw my head back as I began pushing.

"And 1,2,... Push!!" I closed my eyes firmly as I gave another push.

"Kay, honey, my love, you are doing great. You can do this." Cedric mumbled to me

I let out a small scream as I forced myself to push more and more.

"Go on, Luna! You are doing a great job! I can already see the head!!" the doctor encouraged me to continue.

"You are paying for this!! " I yelled at Cedric as he chuckled lightly holding my hand firmly.

"You are going to be fine, my dear." he kissed my knuckles as he stared at me while I kept on pushing.

Both mothers began cleaning my face once again, whispering and telling me everything was going to be alright.

"Just one more push!! Just one more!!!" the doctor announced as I gave my everything in that one last push.

I let out a shriek and silenced it before the crying of a baby was heard in the room.

I let my head fall back in the pillow, panting deeply while Cedric caressed my cheek.

"You did perfect, my love." he kissed my lips before getting up and getting our baby.

Our baby.

He came back with a beautiful creature wrapped up in some blankets.

I smiled weakly when he handed her to me.

"Go say hello to your  gorgeous mommy, my beautiful daughter." he kissed her forehead.

I took her in my arms as I studied her. She squirmed and let out a whimper, moving as if trying to get closer to me. I was struck to the heart by this. I moved her closer to me and she seemed to calm down, falling asleep.

She was truly beautiful.

It seemed like she had hazel hair, strange, considering both Cedric and I had dark hair. She was so small I was afraid of hurting her with the smallest of movements. She had pale skin, her lips were small but full and she had the longest eyelashes I had seen in my life.

I couldn't wait to see her eyes, but that would have to wait because were-pups usually opened their eyes after a couple days of being born.

"Congratulations, Alpha and Luna." The doctor smiled to both of us before bowing her head a bit and leaving the room.

Both my parents and Cedric's approached us to meet our new family member, making comments about how pretty and small she was, I handed her to my mom, so she could let them see closer. I felt the need to bring her back in my arms, she was my daughter, but I calmed myself down knowing she was in good hands. After some minutes, our parents decided we should have some time alone and they should get some food. Cedric's dad handed my little girl back to me and left with the others, closing the door quietly behind him.

I smiled to Cedric, beaming widely. There haven't been any problems besides some small arguments between some of the pack members that used to belong to different packs. It was a normal thing, it had only been six months since we united all of our race. We were still getting used to it.

As for Cedric and I, we tried being as normal as possible. I didn't like wearing royal clothes all the time, it wasn't in my nature. I had always been one to stand up at the front of a battle, to fight by the side of my pack, to be one of them. I had never acted like a stuck up kid, or a selfish teen. Sure, I had my responsabilities as a royal, but I tried keeping a low profile when it came to clothing and stuff.

And I hoped my little baby would try to be even better than us. Humble, kind, courageous, willing to sacrifice herself just as I would. 

I sighed contently at her, brushing the tips of my fingers against her soft skin.

I looked up at Ced once again and scooted a bit to a side so he could lie at my side.

He lifted me a bit and put my upper half on top of him, the touch of our skin making me feel te sparks and the goosebumps grow. Just like the first time. I'd never get tired of his touch. Never.

I felt his lips kiss my hair, his nose inhaling deeply. I closed my eyes and rested my cheek on his chest, enjoying the scent of his that filled my nostrils.

"I think we should decide on the name now, huh?" his voice mumbled, trying not to disturb our girl.

"Mhmm..." I mumbled back, slowly getting sleepier and sleepier with every second that went by. I was exhausted.

"Have you thought about any name? You are the good one with names." he chuckled a bit.

"Yeah, I have thought about some.." I whispered.

"Well, I thought of one that I think you might like." he said quietly, noticing my energy draining.

"Hm?"I questioned, not able to open my eyes or make any other sound.

"I thought about... Naida, I like the sound of it and it means 'water nymph', I just feel like it will fit her."

I thought a minute about that. It actually did seem like it was suitable for her, it just made sense somehow...

I made a sound of approval.

"Naida it will be..." was the last thing I could say before slowly drifting into a deep sleep.

"Hi, Naida Shinedawn Risinger..."I heard Cedric mumble in adoration as I went limp in his arms, holding Naida safe between my arms and his.

Naida. My daughter.
