Xavier's Pov.
First day back at school.
I walked into this new surrounding.
Grade eight last year now it was grade nine.
I shuffled my way until I got to my first class.
I sat down in my seat and watched my English teacher walk in.
She wrote her name on the white board.
More students flooded in as she stood at the front of the class.
The final bell rang as she closed the door.
"Okay class. My name is Mrs. Timble." She surveyed the room and nodded.
She faced the white board and started to write something down.
She stopped and faced us.
"Welcome to grade nine." She stopped.
There were some kids talking at the back of the class.
They stopped.
"In this course you are going to learn about 2 major themes. Identity and Belonging. Now, take this note down." She stepped out of the way.
I took my notebook out and started to write.
This was gonna be a long day...
*Lunch*
I sat down at a table.
I thought back to last year.
"The exact same..." I said to myself.
"What is?" I heard a voice.
A boy was standing over me.
"Nothing." I replied.
"This is the table I sit at." He threw the other remake aside.
"Sorry." I stood up and grabbed my lunch about to walk away.
"Wait, you can sit with me if you want." He grabbed my arm as I turned to face him.
"No one wants to hang out with a loser like me." I yanked my arm out of his grasp and walked away.
I pushed open the school doors and sat outside on the grass.
I don't really like talking to others, so I usually tell them something gross or bad and leave them there.
But it seems like this guy didn't get the memo.
He tapped my shoulder.
"I told yo-" He pulled me up off of the ground.
"Just eat with me and stop fussing." He replied and lifted an eyebrow.
"I don't want to." I crossed my arms.
"Fine then, be a baby." He walked off.
I rolled my eyes and caught his arm.
"I'm not a baby." I frowned and followed him back into the building.
He brought me back to the table.
"Guys, this is...?" He turned to me.
"Xavier." I told him.
He smiled.
"Who are you anyways?" I asked him.
I heard some gasps from the table.
A girl and 2 boys covered their mouths.
"What? I'm new here. Grade 9." I replied as they stopped gasping.
