We're as one.

Me and Evan.

We're at the hospital again.

He's 39.

I smiled down at him, it was like we were teenagers again.

"You never leave me, do you?" He chuckled lightly as we held hands.

I heard a knock at our door as our Daughter Kera walked into the room.

"Dad?" She cried a little as she walked in and saw me and Evan together.

"Daddy..." She started to cry hard as she ran over to us and hugged Evan.

She cried harder as Evan tried to comfort her.

He looked over at me and winked as I blushed.

"Shhh baby girl. I'm okay. Just a small cold." He told her.

I knew more than enough that Evan didn't just have a cold.

He was dying.

"Kera, come here." I opened my arms as she hugged me too.

Our little girl.

She's only 11.

She didn't deserve to loose Evan like this, neither of us did.

Me and Evan decided that we'd have a little girl when we got older.

Her beginning wasn't the greatest, she was born with a twin brother, but he had died a few moments before Kera came out.

It was devastating for me and Evan, but we were thankful to have out little girl.

I remember how depressed Evan became right after his funeral.

I snapped back to reality and hugged Kera tighter.

"Dad. I dont want Daddy to leave." She sobbed into my shirt.

"I don't want him to leave either. But we can be here for him and help him fight."

I looked at Evan with concern as his eyes watered.

He looked away and out of the window of the hospital.

I felt my left hand and rolled my wedding ring around on my finger.

We had gotten married when I was 22 and he was turning 24.

It was the best night of my life and I'll never forget it.

I sat Kera down beside me as I heard the door burst open and Stuart come in.

He was holding his girl friend Sam's hand.

"Brother." He frowned and looked at Evan.

I didn't realize how strong Evan was until I saw him smile.

The two brothers chatted for a bit as me and Kera left to the hospital cafe.

We got some food and I returned with Kera in my arms.

I placed her on the chairs at the edge of the room.

I looked back at Evan.

I could see the life being drained out of his body by every second.

I walked over to him and slid slowly onto the bed beside him.

"Stupid stupid cancer." He smirked at me.

I smiled a little bit.

"Your daughter fell asleep on the way to the room." I told him.

"OUR daughter. Just because I was the downer doesn't mean she's just MY daughter." He smiled.
