Chapter 2

Xavier's Pov.

I got to school to see a fight going on right at the front doors.

It was 2 jocks.

"Idiots." I said under my breath and continued on inside.

I saw Evan.

He waved at me and came towards me.

"Okay, I have a question." I told him perusing my lips.

"Ask away." He waved at some people passing by. 

"Why do you keep being so friendly to me?" I asked and leaned against a nearby locker.

"If someone needs a friend i'm there. You seem to be alone a lot of the time. So i'm assuming you don't have friends." He replied giving my a serious look.

I took a step back.

"I don't want you to feel alone Xavier." He looked at me with dark eyes.

I gulped.

"Don't be scared, i'm not going to hurt you like a lot of people will Xavier." He smiled softly.

I kept noticing these little things about him.

He was sooo annoying.

"I'll catch you later." He ran off to his girl friend.

She glanced back at me and gave me a dirty look.

Bitch.

I walked off to english class and sat down in my seat.

"Where ever you're sitting is where you'll sit for the rest of the semester." Mrs Timble informed us.

She looked away and wrote some stuff down on the board.

I looked to my right to see some girls in pink whispering and laughing at a girl that sat at the front of the classroom.

She had some red spots on her arms and face.

Was she crying recently?

I looked to my left to see some guys quietly passing weed around.

Gross.

Mrs. Timble turned around.

I looked up at the board to see the word Belonging up on it.

"Write this down." She ordered.

It seemed like only me and the red girl were writing it down.

"The world Belonging." I said to myself.

Mrs. Timble continued on talking about what it meant.

I wrote it down and smiled.

*Lunch*

I walked down the hall and saw the red girl from english class.

There were people surrounding her.

"Hey!" I yelled and saw her look at me.

She got shoved against the lockers.

I went up to her as the group moved away.

"Are you okay?" I asked as she shook her head no.

I grabbed her hand and held her up.

"What's your name?" I asked as she blushed.

"Alexandria." She replied.

"Common." I helped her to the table where Evan was sitting.

"Hey Evan." I replied still holding Alexandria up.
