Chapter 20

Jessica's Pov

I woke to my phone ringing in my ear. Gosh darn it. I rolled my body over to where my phone was and grabbed it. I went through everything there were texts from Marianna, Jesus, and my old friend from Texas Kelly. We were in the same foster home before you know what happens. I went through Twitter Snapchat and Instagram. You know the usual. It was probably about 9:30 so I dragged myself out of my bed to get ready for the day. I'm not really doing much today but maybe I'll find something to do. I pulled my hair into a messy ponytail. I went downstairs and grabbed my laptop. I went onto Netflix. Surprisingly I don't watch Netflix that much. I started a new show called Bob's burgers. So far it's very good.

~Later that day~

"Jess" I heard a voice.
"Jessica" I heard the voice again.

I finally opened my eyes I ended up taking a nap. That's what happens when I'm bored.

"Mariana what are you doing here" I said rubbing my eyes and stretching my arms.

"I was wonder if I can stay here" Mariana said.

"Yeah sure" I said.

"Okay thanks wait don't you have to check with your mom" Mariana said putting her bag down and sitting at the edge of my bed.

"Well yeah but she's going on a business vacation for the next few days so I'm going to be home by myself bored and lonely" I said.

"What about Noah" Mariana asks.

"Noah he's not coming home until well tomorrow but he typically has football every day and goes out with his friends" I explained to her brushing my hair.

"I understand" Mariana said.

"Wait why are you staying here" I said.

"Umm I don't want to be in the house with Nick" Mariana explained to me.

"Oh okay we'll we have a guest bedroom or you can stay in my room or you can stay with Noah" I said getting out of my bed.

"It's my decision" Mariana asked.

"Yeah I don't really care as long as you two don't get to freaky" I said.

"Your gross" Mariana said laughing.

"I know" I said laughing.

~The next day~

I didn't really get any sleep but last night was fun even though Mariana chose my brother over me. I know it's terrible but whatever. I still love them both.

I got up early for once so I actually had some time to do my hair and makeup. I put on a kiss t-shirt, American eagle ripped jeans, with a black under armor. I put on my white vans. I side braided my hair. I put on light make up. I put my laptop in my backpack. I put my bag down stairs and sat on the couch.

After about two hours Mariana came down for school dressed.

"Ready" Mariana said getting a water.

"Yup" I said.

We walked out and walked to school talking.

"What class do you have first today" Mariana said as we approached her locker.

"Math" I said.

"With Jesus" Mariana said.

"Unfortunately and Nick" I said.

"Ooo good luck" Mariana said.

"What's your first class" I asked.

"Chemistry" Mariana said.

"With Jenna" I said.

"You guessed it" Mariana said.

"Last period history right" Mariana asked me as we walked to my class.

"Yup" I said.

"See you either before second period lunch or last period" Mariana said.

"Bye" I said waving her off and walking away.

"Adios" Mariana said walking in the other direction.

Ugh Math I hate math. I had Algebra specifically. I sat down in the back. Jesus sat next to me and Nick sat on the other side of me. Fuck man.

"Hey can we talk" Jesus said.

"I would love too but I mean I don't have the time" I said.

"We always have time just come over" Jesus said.

"No thanks but thanks I have a guest" I said.

"Who" Jesus said.

"Why do you care your not my boyfriend anymore" I said rolling my eyes, and writing down the notes.

"Jessica" Jesus said.

"I need to get out of here" I said getting up before the teacher walked in.

"Jess" Jesus said.

I walked out and ran down the hallway into the girls bathroom. I went into the stall and locked it.
