Chapter 33

We were in the car just being teenagers driving around with the occasional arguing of Jenna, me and Mariana. Jesus and I barely speaking to each other more like sharing one word. But it was fun, Katy Perry "teenage dream" started playing on the radio.

"You think I'm pretty without any makeup on, you think I'm funny when I tell the punch line wrong I know you get me so I'll let me walls come down, down" Katy sang as we listened to the song on the radio.

The hot sun beating on my almost fairly tan skin. My long brunette hair flowing in the wind as we drove down the road. All of us had our sunglasses on enjoying this amazing Friday before spring break.

"Lets go all the way tonight no regrets, just love we can dance until we die you and I will be young forever, you make me feel like I'm living a teenage dream the way you turn me on I can't sleep just run away and don't ever look back don't ever look back" Mariana, Jenna, and I sang.

Every lyric making me think of Jesus and how much I still care and have feelings for him. Mariana probably thinking about Noah. Jenna i don't really know who she's thinking about after all she is a post-it. We drove around for a few hours and went back to the school. Just to go to the beach.

I put my hair into a ponytail as Mariana and I walked around the beach talking.

"I still can't believe you" Mariana smiling.

"I-I-I just i don't know okay, I don't know, something happened and then bam the feelings came back" I said.

"You need to tell him" Mariana said.

"No no nope I'm not saying a word and I swear if you say anything-" I started when we got interrupted.

"Hey Jess can I talk to you for a sec" Jesus said.

"Yeah, sure" I said standing up and wiping the sand from off my pants. I looked at Mariana and she just winked at me, I just mouthed 'stop' and kept walking.

"What's up" I said as we finally found a spot on the beach and sat together.

"Look I still like you like a lot" Jesus started.

"Yeah?" I questioned with a smile on my face.

"But I have a girlfriend" Jesus said making my smile drop.

"Oh? Who" I asked, not going to lie it hurt hearing him say that.

"Lexie" Jesus said.

"Oh who's that" I asked I sound like a jealous girlfriend right now but I'm curious.

"One of Mariana's friends but look I still care about you but" Jesus started before I cut him off.

"No I get it, it was time to move on" I said standing up trying not to let the tear fall that we're building up the whole conversation.

"Jess" Jesus called.

I just walked back over to Mariana to grab my back.

"Hey what happened" Mariana asked.

"Uhh nothing I'm just going to go home I'll see you tomorrow for the practice" I said grabbing my back and starting to walk off.

Ughhh boys why do I always have to get attached at the wrong moments?? Maybe it's time to forget about him, wow. As I started walking even more I the years started building up and just coming out.
