So it seems. Not even a very rare species of fish was a surprise to you. You skipped through the encyclopedia you made yourselves, stopping at the page of the fish. "All-Blue Silverfin Fish. Said to lead the way to the All Blue, huh..." you read out loud from your book. You had come across this fish before. Like everything else. Not a single secret in this world was a secret to you. You had figured out everything from this world. And above.

You sighed and closed the enormous book. One of the 364 books of your encyclopedia series, more precisely. You threw the fish back into the water and took the book back to your private library, which was about 75% of the rooms of your ship. Was there a chance the ship could sink and all your research would disappear. No. The 364 books aboard this ship were copies of the 'original' series, back at a inhabited island you called 'home'. You entered the enormous empire of books, placing the book in the right shelf. This was so boring.

Everything in this world was boring. Nothing could surprise you, impress you, entertain you... you understood everything and got bored quickly due to it. One thing. There was one thing that could chance it: human contact. The one thing you didn't understand. The missing book to complete the 365 book series: human emotions. It was impossible for you to understand: you were born without them. A thing you had to sacrifice to become the world's greatest genius. Sadly, a very important aspect to being human. Therefore, you had no friends. No contact with other intelligent creatures, because you didn't possess the most human - or any other intelligent race, naturally - quality: feelings. You ran with your hand through your (h/c) hair and sighed. You were going to give up. Never would you be able to understand.

Maybe it was better,

That you gave up.

.

..

...

"Ooooooooi!"

You immediately looked through the windows of your library at the sea. A loud voice yelling. Odd. You were certain these seas were lifeless. Perhaps a lost sailor?

"Could you help me? Ooooi!"

Bingo. You were, once again, correct. It wasn't like you had something better to do. Maybe helping this person would drive away the boredom. You made your way back up to the deck, scanning the waves of the sea. Where were they?

"Oh! Oi, Lady! Over here!"

The voice was close. With your bored (e/c) eyes, you looked down. A ravenhaired man with an orange cowboyhat, a red beaded necklace, combat pants with belt and short knife with fitting boots and lastly a tattoo spelling "A ~S~ C E" on his arm, stood on a weird vehicle a few metres from your ship. What an unusual fellow. He looked up at you now. Note: you had forgotten freckles, wavy hair and muscles worth mentioning.

"Good morning Lady! I've a little problem! My Log Pose is unable to set in these seas so I'm currently lost, could you help me out?" A surprisingly low voice called out to you, accompanied by a wide grin. You knew who he was. Portgas D. Ace, also known as Fire Fist Ace. 2nd Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. A bounty of 550 000 000 Beli. Eater of the Mera Mera no Mi. Extremely dangerous.

Yet extremely interesting.

"We're close to the North Pole. Log Poses get attracted to the magnetic field surrounding it. It's better to use a map. How did you end up here?" You replied, speaking loud enough for him to hear.

"Just looking for someone. Can you hand me a map then?" He asked, holding on to his hat to inspect your entire ship. "Big ship by the way, you're also a pirate?"

You shook your head. "More like a criminal. It's too cold to stay outside, I'll let down a rope, tie your ship tight to it and climb up." You explain as you throw down the rope, feeling a chill running over your spine. It's really too cold. The pirate nodded, did what you asked and swiftly jumped on deck without using the rope.

"Thanks! The name's Ace by the way, what's yours?" He grinned, greeting you.

You walked towards the door to the hallway and held it open for him.

"My name is (y/n)." You answered.

"Nice to meet you, (y/n)!" He smiled and walked through the door opening, being followed closely by you as you shut the door.
