"Ah, good morning Ace!" You greeted the young and recently awoken pirate with the smile you learnt yesterday. A bit surprised by his partly nudity, you quickly focused on the breakfast again. American Pancakes with Ahorn Syrup, something he didn't miss.

"A~ah, the delicious smell of pancakes in the morning... Hi (y/n), smells amazing as always..." He grumbled in between a yawn. You chuckled - you learnt that too yesterday - and took out a plate, filling it with two pancakes with just the right amount of syrup on it and walked over to Ace, placing the plate before him. He was sleeping again. Seriously? This habit of his was getting out of hand. "Aaaaaaaaaace." You said in a long breath, poking his cheek. The male woke up and grinned. "Sorry, sorry! Ooooh, it's with syrup! Niiiiice!" He said, licking his lips. You sighed, already knowing you had to make a lot more to fill the seemingly endless pit that was supposed to be his stomach.

A small amount of 35 pancakes later, the two of you sat next to eachother at the table in your library, a map on it. "So we have officially entered the Grand Line again. We just need to find your destination and... I suppose our journey... will be over." You explained, trailing the course of the ship with your finger and ending in a sad tone. Sadness. A feeling you had already experienced, even before you knew it.

Ace felt the same way, you could see it. He kept frowing at your finger. "I need to be here, and we still need to stop by another island for groceries. That's at least... uh..." He protested as he counted on his fingers. "6 days." You counted for him. That was all that was left. 6 days. And you had yet so much to learn. Ace had become someone you couldn't miss. His cheering personality, kindness, humor... it was going to be hard. For the two of you. "... Hey, (y/n)..." Ace suddenly called you back to the real world. You looked up, keeping the sad expression. "I... don't know if I'll survive my business." He said, looking into your eyes. These widened out of pure shock. Eh? He... could die because of it? "And it's too dangerous to take you with me, so... let's make these 6 days the best 6 days of our lives. You're important to me (y/n), and I wanna remember you when we part ways." He said while smiling softly, taking your hand and gently rubbing the back of your hand with his thumb. Was there no way you could stay...? No. He just said so. Your journey was to bring Ace out of the Icy Seas to his destination. But... honestly, you wished the journey could last longer. If it could: forever. Because the moment he left, you would be all alone again. Without your only friend, the one you care the most about.

The one you love.

Uh?

Did you just...

"So, that's why (y/n), we'll do something that you like. Anything. From fishing to... to... er, cleaning? I guess? Just whatever you want!" Ace smiled, taking you out of your thoughts. Let's just leave those thoughts for later. Ace is right! Now was time to - what was the word? Oh yeah! - have fun.

"Then, let's solve puzzles!" You smiled excitedly, clapping your hands. Ace clearly sweatdropped at your definition of "fun", but followed you to your bedroom and the many puzzles the poor boy would have to solve.
