What Do You Do It For?

People are always asking.

What do you do it for?

They say the pay isn't great.

But I know it ain't.

I don't do it for the money or the glory I just do it because I care.

I do it to provide for our future and those in need.

I struggle for what I want but I have all that I need.

More money would be nice but I know it is the way it is.

I will give my life for a stranger if need be tonight or any other time.

I don't regret the decision that I made.

I am proud to bear the title of a U.S First responder.
