Sakura stared at her window, autumn was soon ending and she had to suffer the ice-cold toilets at winter that seemed like solid ice. Her breath made the crystal-clear surface get cloudy. She pursed her lips as she wiped the moist off the glass' surface. She hated seeing her window dirty. The pinkette would go beast mode on anyone who contaminates her window, even herself.
The festival was beautiful but seeing a friend ill turned off the mood. Sakura was nervous about the plan about the cure. It was a fragile and delicate task and should be handled with enormous amounts of care and preciseness. One small mistake, no matter how small, will lead to failure. They can make it as careful as they can but couldn't because they had a deadline. The deadline was before Hinata dies. Such a literal deadline.
One thing in the festival caught her eye...She thought it was...
Him.
When she was walking alone, she thought she met his eyes. He was alone too, carrying a lantern. Sakura felt everything froze as she beheld his beauty with her celadon eyes. If it was really him, he would've at least told her to leave him alone.
But he didn't. He just let the lantern set afloat then left without a spoken word.
She rose from her bed. That was just speculation proved wrong. There was no way he would notice her, or even attend the festival just for her. That is just...
She couldn't find the perfect words. Doubt, that is.
Another hectic day at the hospital. Oh well, it was her job.
When she made it to the hospital, she smiled and greeted some colleagues then made her way to the break room to fix some things up. She smiled as she unlocked the door.
"Hello!"
The voice almost startled the pinkette but when she turned, it was just a slightly familiar face. He was wearing a sweet smile that could melt people's heart and a very positive aura.
"Aha... haha..." she chuckled nervously as she tucked in some strands of her hair behind her ear,"So...Are you the new worker?"
Sakura could feel her eye twitching nervously. She haven't met this guy but she was 99.9% certain that he is the newbie but she still is not really sure. Though she didn't assume that he is the green one, she has this gut feeling that he is the one. If the lad isn't that smiling, she could've died from awkwardness.
"Eh...I forgot how you formally make acquaintances but..."- she rubbed the back of her head-,"The name's Haruno."
He smiled even more,"Ah, I see. So your name is Haruno? Can I call you Haru-chan?"
Does he think that my given name is Haruno?
Sakura thought. This guy really needs some introduction.
She shook off the thought, labelling it as offensive, she then replied,"S-Sure!"
"I went her because the head said that you hold the schedules...?" The ginger smiled, it was so bright it could best Sakura's sun-like forehead.
It could blind me, even worse than the White Eyes... Sakura felt dread, internally.
She snapped back in reality then spoke:" Yeah...I have it,"-she placed some papers in his desk-"The names of your patients are also there, and if you have questions...Just call me," she said as she left to get some coffee.
The ginger-haired man scanned his data.
"Oh, what was your name again?" Sakura's head popped out from the divider that separated the tables from the kitchen.
