Waking up was the hardest thing after what they did to me. They hurt me and they violated me. What was I really expecting? They're Vampires, that's what they do and the sooner I get that into my head the better.
The ceiling in my room in this hell hole was all I looked at since opening my eyes. The events of last night's dinner party wouldn't leave my mind, no matter how hard I tried. The guests laughing at each others jokes, some in deep conversation. All the smartly dressed Vampires staring at me. The image that I couldn't move from my mind was the image of Adrian and Brad's fangs.
My eyes began to water as I recalled the sight of Alexander. I met this wonderful man who I thought was nice and caring and he turned out to be one of them. He isn't like them though, he's different. Something about him made me feel safe. I wasn't sure what it was yet but I wanted to find out.
A tear slowly slid down the side of my face. How did my life resort to this? Alright, my life wasn't perfect but who's is? No one deserves to be treated this way. This is insane. I wished for this to be a dream when I knew fine well it wasn't.
A soft knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts
"Come in." I said, not bothering to sit up.
The door opened with a slight creak. "Master Adrian asked me to check on you and he also wants me to help you get changed." Came Emily's timid voice.
As I sat up a shooting pain shot up my arm and neck, making me groan in pain. Emily rushed to my side to assist. I nodded slightly and smiled in thanks. She smiled back at me with a smile that made me think she was scared.
I gazed down at my wrist and my eyes fell upon two small red marks. The skin around the red marks was stained with purple and blue bruises. Emily came back over to me after finding some clothes in one of the drawers. She helped me to my feet pretending not to notice but I know she did.
If it weren't for Emily holding onto me I would have fell to the floor. I was more unsteady on my feet that I thought I would be. She guided me slowly into the small bathroom and closed the door behind us. Emily filled up the sink with warm water before turning to me.
"Miss Aria, can you remove your dress?" she asked awkwardly.
My gaze immediately dropped to my body. I was still wearing the dress from last night. I felt dirty. With my good arm I reached round and pulled down the zip at the back of the dress and let it fall to the floor. I didn't care if Emily saw me in my underwear. She slowly turned me around to face the floor length mirror. A gasp almost escaped my lips.
The girl staring back at me was a mess. Her hair was standing on end in some places. Dark circles enclosed around her eyes and her skin was a whiter shade of pale. She looked exhausted.
Emily pulled my hair into a messy bun at the back of my head. That's when I saw the other fang marks. Adrian's fang marks. They looked exactly the same as the ones on my wrist, red and bruised. Emily gently began to dab my neck with a wet cloth. I hissed in pain as the water soaked the wound on my neck.
"I am sorry." I heard her say quietly.
Gazing at her through the mirror I replied "It's okay."
Some time later, Emily was finished helping me change. Time didn't seem to matter here. She excused herself and left the room, leaving me sitting on the edge of the bed staring off into space.

Adrian never came up to see me. I stayed my room most of the day, not wanting to step one foot outside the door. My body craved food but I was too preoccupied to eat. Adrian never brought me food anyway.
What was I going to do? I couldn't stay here that's for sure. When would Alexander come for me? Surely he wouldn't let me suffer for much longer. I just had to be patient. Slowly and carefully, I rose to my feet and made my way across the room to the window.
This was the first time I'd ever seen what it looked like outside since I'd been kidnapped. A mild layer of fog floated around the grounds. From what I could see there were fields after fields. Adrian owned a mansion by the look of the house so I wasn't shocked by the vast space he owned around it.
Leaning my head on the cold glass, I closed my eyes. For a moment I imagined myself back in my apartment, back at the diner. All of it seemed so far away now, insignificant. I used to worry about my rent and the way my boss use to treat me. Now all I had to worry about was my life.
My eyes shot open. Something in the room was different, I could feel it. I stood up and turned around, there was no one there. As I gazed around the room I wondered if I was loosing my mind. Shaking my head I turned back to look out the window and there he stood. My heart pounded in my chest.
"You were well behaved last night." He smirked.
I didn't say a word, I couldn't. The flashbacks from last night were racing through my mind again. My body began to tremble as Adrian stepped closer to me.
"As a treat I'd like you to accompany me downstairs. I have had something made for you to eat." He told me.
The hunger hit me hard. I was hungry but now that he'd mentioned it I was starving. He led me out of the room and towards the staircase. As we descended Alexander stood at the bottom of the stairs, his beautiful eyes full of shock and horror like they were last night when they fell upon me.
"Aria, is everything alright?" Adrian asked
Tearing my gaze away from Alexander, I looked at Adrian, confused, before looking around. Alexander was gone and I had stopped dead in my tracks half way down he staircase. I blinked away the tears that had flooded into my eyes.
"Everything is fine." I replied, quietly.
We continued down the stairs and I let him escort me to the dining area. I nodded politely as I sat down in the chair he'd pulled out for me. An empty plate and a fork and knife was placed out in before me. Adrian sat down at the opposite end of the table. Moments later the door opened and Emily appeared with a tray of food. There was a hint of a smile on her face when she looked at me before placing the food on the table in front of me.
"Please, dig in." Adrian said as Emily left the room.
Reluctantly, I picked up the fork and stabbed it into the food. I looked down at the eggs on the fork, wondering if they were poisoned. He wouldn't poison me, he wanted my blood. It tasted so good, I felt like I hadn't eaten in weeks. Adrian chuckled when I began eating faster.
Once I was finished I put the fork down and sat back in the seat. I didn't want to look at him, I looked everywhere else apart from him.
"I have a few more friends coming over tonight. You'll need to look as good as you did last night." He informed me.
"Is that all I am here for? To be your meal? To entertain you friends?" The words came out of my mouth before I even thought of them.
Adrian's eyebrow lifted. It looked as though he didn't expect me to say that, if anything at all. He leaned forward in his chair, his elbows on the table with his hands clasped together. I swallowed the lump that had formed in my throat.
"You're here for much more than that. As for now, you're here to do what I want you to do and if you refuse, well let's just say you're stay here won't be pleasant at all." He threatened.
"That night in the club, that wasn't a random attack, was it?" I asked.
"None of it matters now, I have what I want" He said.
My eyebrows knitted together in a frown. There was something he wasn't telling me, something he didn't want me to know.
"My guests will be arriving at seven which is six hours from now. I will have Emily bring you something appropriate to wear." Adrian said, a slight smirk on his face.
A shiver ran through me. I hated the way he looked at me and spoke to me.
"May I be excused?" I asked him.
He nodded once and watched me as I got up and left the room. I slowly made my way back up the stairs. I didn't know when but Alexander was coming for me, hopefully before Adrian's guests arrive.
