Prologue
“Love sets no boundaries.”, as most people would say. No matter what your social standing is, if you are in love, it will not be a hindrance as long as the two of you trust each other and be devoted to each other. That’s what my love for James is. His knightly attitude and his commitment to a relationship really lighten my day and make it worthwhile even if my mom detest it, even if we are encountering many problems. I know we can get through it, because no one beats two people that are madly in love.
Chapter 1
Coming from an affluent family and being the daughter of two renowned resort owners, I am already used to all the glitz and the glamour of the elite life. Being a privileged person, having to have lots of social gatherings to attend to and having to please and avoid any mistakes for all the eyeing people to see has always been a usual thing for me. People may think that being an upper class person is full of bliss but in reality it’s not.
Each day is a new day of hope, love and expectations. I have always pondered what each of my day will turn out. Life passes fast and it has no room for regrets, burden and misery so don’t let these three eat you up.
It was raining hard when I arrived at my parent’s house. It was breezy outside and I was dripping wet after leaving my umbrella inside the cab. I put my entire luggage to one side before I rang the doorbell. I kept thinking if this is the right decision, moving in with the folks again. It has been three years since I actually lived here. Back then I knew I made the right decision for leaving because it just made me an independent person and to my surprise I actually started to enjoy life.
(Believe me; I had my ups and downs in this house.)
I patiently waited outside and after a few moments the gates opened. The maids rushed towards me and carried my luggage into my bedroom while the guard offered me an umbrella. I was wearing high heeled shoes so I carefully walked across the marbled path. My dad stood at the doorway and looked at me with a heart-warming smile.
“I knew you would come home again, we’ve missed our little girl!” Dad said with delight. I walked beside dad and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
“I’ve missed you too dad but honestly I don’t know if moving in here was a good choice.”
I never really planned on moving back again if it weren’t for that cow.
Megan Gutierrez, the classy bitch who happened to be my condo neighbor, is one of the people who never fail to annoy me. Since I was 10, I have been a victim of her evil schemes. A bully, that’s what I would call her; a bully who feeds on the weakness of others.
God, I hate her. If I could only turn cows like her into a snail or something. I just can’t stand her annoying voice and taunts in the condo.
“Oh, I’m sure you’re gonna enjoy being with us again.” Dad assured me. “Oh well, let’s come in first. It’s getting late and you look like you’ve been drowned. You need to take a bath.” I grinned.
My parent’s house has a modernized style with cream as its prime color. It has two floors with more than 10 rooms. It has a typical rectangular pool at the backyard and a beautiful patio.
I entered my room and it’s still the same as I’ve left it. Girly, that’s the best thing to describe my room. The background color is baby pink and it has a queen sized bed that is full of pillows. My room is airconditioned and beside my bed is a wooden cabinet. There is a wide window at the right side of my room overlooking the whole neighborhood and a Cleopatra seat. My room smells like lavender and chamomile and it has a very good ambiance.
