Chapter 6

((A/N I had a friend ask me a question: How does Ty and Jason hide their powers? Well Jason has the ability to change into the Wither and Ty hides his wings in his shirt! I hope that cleared some stuffs up! [This is for you Maddie!]))

Jason's pov

I was the first to wake up, so I decided I'd go hunting. I made a bow and some arrows and I carefully climbed down the vines. I wondered around the jungle when I finally saw a cow. I was about to shoot it when it died. I lowered my bow and continued watching. I had to cover my mouth to keep me from screaming. A boy and a furry animal ran to pick up the loot that the cow dropped.

What.

I turned around and ran the opposite direction that the other two went in. I stopped running and killed a couple pigs. I turned around and started to head back. But when I never came across the opening where I saw the boy and animal, I started to panic. I started to panic more when I heard a twig snap.

I looked up and saw the boy. We stared at each other. It was me who broke eye contact. Mostly because I saw the furry animal behind him.

"Hehe hi." The boy said.

"Hi?" I said confused.

"I'm Mitch and this is Jerome." He said. I still eyed him. He was friends with an animal. But I'm half Wither so I've seen weirder.

"I-I'm Jason." I say standing up.

"Are you lost?" The an-Jerome said. I nod. "I think I know where you need to go." He smiles and starts to run in another direction. Mitch laughs and follows, yelling Jerome's name. I smile and run after them. We soon make it to the tree where my friends are. I lost Mitch and Jerome by the time I got to the tree. I looked for them, only to hear the unforgiving hiss of a creeper behind me. I did the only thing I could think of.

I screamed.
