Chapter 8

Sam's pov

Ian and I were going hunting because we were running out of food. We ran into the forest ready to do something fifteenth for a change. I called for Ian as he took off.

"Wait! Ian!" I yell.

"WHAAAAAAAT?!" He yells back. Even though he's older, I'm more mature than him. Most likely because I'm a sorceress but...ya.

"Be. Careful." I say. "You don't want to have an...accident..." We both shiver at the thought of what happened last time.

"Ok, ok, MOM!" Ian says, obviously trying to enlighten the mood. He runs deeper into the forest. I laugh and follow him as we find food. We kill a few cows before we decide to go home.

"Race you there, step sis!" He says. I roll my eyes as he adjusts his sunglasses. I push my, black hair with purple tips out of my face and laugh. "Ready, set, GO!" He yells before I could react. He takes of and I try to keep up. But a couple minutes later, I accept the fact that I'm lost. I start breathing heavily and I pull out my stone axe with Unbreaking X and Sharpness V, aka my favourite weapon. My green and brown eyes search for any sign of Ian. But my ears catch something first.

"Sam! I found something...or mire like a someone!" I reply and run for where I heard him.

Rina's pov

I look at the boy in front of me. He yells something that I cant make out and he helps me up.

"My name's Ian. What's yours?" He asks once my ears stop ringing. Just then a girl runs up to Ian.

"I'm Rina-" I stop myself before I say 'Rinabrine.' "Just, Rina.'' I say with a smile. I hold out my hand and she shakes it. (I read books on how the Overworld people behave.)

"Sam." She says. "Do you need a place to stay?" She asks. I nod. "Ok, then. Follow us. And Ian," she turns to him, "no running!" He grins, but nods. We walk to a house on a small plains biome surrounded by a forest, mountains, jungles, and a desert. I smile.

"You guys are pretty isolated, huh?" I ask as we walk in. They smile.

"Ya, it's really quiet and plus we need it because I-" Sam elbows Ian in the ribs before he could continue.

It was getting late. I yawned. "Do you have a room I could stay in?" I ask.

"Ya, your room is the last one to the right." Sam says, pointing down a hallway. I thank them and walk into 'my' room. I fall asleep thinking about Sky.

Sky's pov (speaking of Sky...lol)

I hear Jason scream and I look down. Bad idea. A creeper explodes and sends Jason flying back about five blocks. I jump down and check him out. He had a broken arm and he was bleeding. I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure he most likely has a concussion.

I hear Ty and Juni run up to us. "What happened?" Ty asked.

"Creeper explosion." I say as I pick him up. I turn around to see a boy and a bacca, I think. "Who are you?" I say, a little more harsh than attended.

"I'm Mitch." The boy says.

"Jerome." The bacca says. "And by the way, we kinda led him here, so, your welcome?" Jerome says.

I take a deep breath. "Sorry. I'm just a little stressed out. I'm Sky. This is Ty and Juni." I say, pointing my head as I introduce them. "And I guess you met Jason." They nod.

"We need food." I hear Juni say. "I guess that's what Jason was doing."

Mitch and Jerome helped us build a house. We get along better, but you can still feel the tension in the air.

"I have a few extra wool." Jerome says. We were trying to mane beds.

"How many is 'a few', Jerome?" Mitch asks and Jerome smirked.

"About, twenty-four."

"Perfect! May I have eighteen, please?" Juni asks. Jerome gives her the wool and makes us one bed each. I lay down on mine and fall into a dreamless sleep.
