Adopted by Demi (Spy/Agent)

Chapter 9

  Demi looked at me concerned as my face fell. I quickly called Allie. She answered quickly after the first ring.
  "Bunny, are you okay?" Allie asked worried. I let out a quiet sob.
  "No, they said they are coming." Hot tears flowing down my face. I sobbed my face red. Demi put her arm around me, I realised she pulled over. I put my head into her arm, hiding my face.
  "Bunny calm down, we will be there in am hour. I love you, stay safe." Allie said. I continued to sob into Demi's arm. Her shirt sleeve now soaked. She wrapped her arms around me after she took off her seatbelt. We sat there for what felt like hours. I quick crying dry sobs pulsing through my body, Demi sitting calmly. I pulled away realising it had been half an hour. Demi looked very concerned. I wiped my eyes and face. I looked at her, my eyes red.
  "Lets go home." She said rubbing my arm. She put on her seatbelt. She quickly pulled out from the side of the road. I watched carefully for anything out of the ordinary.
  "Baby, are you okay?" Demi asked me. Looking at me for a quick second. I shook my head. We made it home quickly. I got out of the car walking inside quickly. I ran up to my room hiding under my covers. I started sobbing, my throat hurting. Demi came up quickly. She wrapped her arms around me whispering sweet nothings. I fell asleep quickly the emotional drain finally getting to me.
  I woke up cold. Demi had gone downstairs. I looked at the time realising I had slept for two hours. I heard voices. I quickly headed downstairs putting my hair up into a tight bun. I looked into the living room to see Allie, Hunter, Alex and Demi. They turned around to look at me as I walked. I ran towards Allie wrapping my arms around her neck. I was shorter than her by alot so she lifted me up a little bit.
  "Hey bunny." She whispered into my ear. I dropped my arms and gave Hunter and Alex a hug also. I stood infront of Demi her arms wrapped around me. I rested my head on her chest.
  "Whats the plan, Allie-Bear?" I asked looking at her.
  "We don't have one yet. We have to tell the Boss Bunny." She looked at me sadly. I quickly raised my gaze.
  "You can't!" I yelled surprising Demi. She flinched behind me. I put my hand on hers.
  "Liz, you know we have to. It's time the agency knew." Allie said softly. I looked down sadly. I nodded.
  "Can Demi come too?" I asked in a small voice. Allie sighed.
  "I dunno Bunny, I can't promise anything." Allie said sadly. I nodded. Alex smiled at me making a funny face. I smiled a little.
  "I'll go ask the Boss and you guys can stay here and catch up." Hunter said giving me a quick hug. I smiled at him. He walked out. We all sat down on the couch. Me in between Allie and Demi. Demi held my hand comfortably. I rested my head on her shoulder.
  "Allie-Bear, what will the Boss do?" I asked softly. She put her hand on my arm soothingly.
  "I dunno Bunny." She smiled warmly at me.
  I nodded leaning onto Demi's shoulder. Demi rubbing shapes into my hand.
  "Did you tell Demi?" I asked. Allie nodded her head. Demi squeezed my hand gently. I nodded. Hopefully she didn't think of me differently. I fell asleep slowly listening to Allie and Alex talk about what they've been doing and Demi sometimes adding something in or asking a question.
  I woke up to Allie standing in front of me, I had my head on Demi's lap. She smiled at me.
She said a few things but I was too tired to register what she said. Demi slowly got up taking me with her. We got into a car with three rows of seats. Allie drove, Hunter next to her. Alex took the back seats while Demi and I took the middle row. We made it to headquarters. We got out, I had fixed up my appearance a little bit before we went inside.
  We flashed all of our badges and Alex flashed one for Demi. I smiled at him. I walked next to Alex we were telling jokes and making funny faces. We got into the elevator, it was a tight fit I ended up in a corner. We made small talk in the elevator. Finally we made it to the correct floor. I knocked on the door a rough voice letting us in. We walked into a conference room. I said next to Demi and Allie at the end of the table opposite the Boss. He looked at me indifferently. Not like I was going to tell him a life secret.
  "Alex told me you have something you would like to share." The boss said looking at me carefully.
  "Sir, my parents didn't drop me off when I was a baby. They, um, they raped and abused me until I was 8 and I ran away." I said looking down. Demi held my hand reassuring me. My Boss looked at me, emotion never crossing his face.
  "Agent, what does this have to do with anything?" He sighed.
  "They're back, and they want revenge. They're on the other side." I looked at him. "I need your help."
  He looked at me,  and sighed. "Okay. I need names and descriptions." After about an hour of telling everything I remember about them we left. Waiting for a call. Allie, Alex and Hunter rented a hotel room. It was just me and Demi left. We were on the couch watching some crime show, when she turned it down. I looked at her.
  "Why didn't you tell me?" She asked hurt. I looked down.
  "I didn't want to seem weak." I said not looking up at her.
  "I would never think of you as weak. We all have our pasts, you just have a worse one than others." She said smiling at me. I nodded. She turned it back up. I fixed my blanket and turned towards the TV. I was happy I could tell her that. The sun began to set a blanket of darkness set on the house. We watched a few episodes until reruns started to come on.
  "Want to order some chinese?" Demi asked getting up to grab her phone.
  "Sure, make sure to get some fried rice." I said smiling. She nodded. I grabbed my lovely leather wallet, that I got with on my birthday, quickly without her noticing. I grabbed a few twenties. I was going to pay for it if it is the last thing I do.
  She came back in smiling putting her phone in the end table.
  "It will be here in around twenty minutes."
   "Okay, good to know." I said running upstairs to get my book. I came back downstairs to Demi watching... disney channel?
  "What are you watching?" I asked laughing.
  "Disney channel, have you seen K.C. Undercover?" She asked like an excited five year old.
  "No, I watch discovery channel normally." I said, realising I sound like a nerd. I saw on my side of the couch, that I claimed. Stretching out I grabbed my blanket and started reading about the lovely Aztec people. Demi looked at me weirdly and watched her show. I put my book down after hearing a car pull up. I went to the door, answering before they could ring the door bell. A guy in about his mid twenties had a bag of chinese in his hand. I heard Demi walking over.
  "57.73 is your total." He said looking at me. I gave him three twenties.
  "Keep the change." I said quickly. Demi came out from behind me.
  " Your not paying for it." She exclaimed madly.
  "I already did." I sassily replied. "Thank you sir, have a good night." I said with a smile as Demi stood behind me protesting. He nodded as I closed the door.
  "Here's the money." She said trying to push money into my hands. I didn't take it running into the dining room and putting the food down.  She chased me trying to get me to take it.
  "I will not take it Dems." I said shaking my head and crossing my arms. She sighed.
  "I'm paying next time." She said a look of defeat crossing her face. I punched the air in victory.
  I opened the bag quickly looking at what she got.
  "You realise there is only two of us right?" I asked her weirdly. She shrugged and got a plate. I layed it out so it was easy to see. She handed me a plate and I got my food and sat down at the breakfast bar. She grabbed hers and sat down scrolling through twitter.
  "Hey Dems. I might try to get some time off, wanna give me a schedule of your working times?" I asked. She nodded and I heard my phone go off with a ding.
  "Thanks momma." I said with a smile, not realising what I said. She smiled and nodded. Then smiled like a cheshire cat when she realised what I called her. I walked out of the room while she had a creepy smile on her face. I grabbed my phone and looked it over. Before her tour she has a break, so do I. Then she goes on tour when I do but after tour she has a month off too. Which I will get off. I called my Boss asking for the time off, he also told me an update on my parents.
  I walked back in the kitchen. Demi had eaten hers and was in the process of taking a bite of mine.
  "Demiiiiii," I groaned." Why are you stealing my food, get your own off the table." She looked at me and smiled. Then she stole another bite of mine. I glared at her. I stole my plate from her.
  "Are you trying to starve me?" I asked joking.
  "No, but I don't want to walk all the way over there." She said with a smile. I groaned at her eating my food in the kitchen away from her.
  "I don't care." I said stuffing rice into my mouth. She laughed at me and cleaned her plate. I quickly ate mine.
  "I have a month now and one after the tours off." I said talking to her about what I wanted to talk about. She nodded, I cleaned my plate. I walked behind her looking at her phone. Some people were very negative. Lots of them were by the looks of it. I looked at my watch.
  "It's 11 o'clock, mom." I informed her as it was very late. I said mom again, she nodded smiling.
  "I'm gonna go to bed, love you." I said kissing her on the cheek, heading up the stairs.
  "Love you too, I'll be up in a bit. She said putting her phone down and smiling at me. I took the stairs two at a time. I went into my room. I forgot my book. I quickly ran out. I ran into Demi.
