A/N:I'm used to writing in first person, so if I/me/us/we is where he/she/him/her/them/they should be, please let me know.

The surprising amount of support I've gotten for this has inspired me to write, so this is dedicated to all of y'all!

This will be by far the sweetest Edward I've ever written. He may come off too sweet to some, but I love it that way.

One more thing, I took out the Forks location. Where they live isn't going to be stated. Sorry if this is upsetting but I'm sure there isn't fast food restaurants there so I took it out.

Please enjoy,

Phee

Chapter Song: Closer by Kings of Leon

A smile cracked Edward's face after he read her reply for the fourth time.

"I'm glad," was all he could think to say.

She smiled the smallest, sweetest smile.

"Would you, uh...would you like a ride?" He asked, stomach hurting from how nervous he was.

Edward was not the guy that had trouble with girls. Honestly, the only trouble he had was trying to avoid them. But with Bella it was different and not just because of the communication barrier.

She was different. Special. And not just because she was beautiful—though that was a large factor. She mostly kept to herself, but she'd reach out to people in small ways. Like helping people pick up their dropped books while everyone else walked by, or selling baked goods for charities. Edward even saw her bringing things to homeless people.

He was leaving the local Taco Bell with a five layer burrito in hand one day when he saw her coming out the McDonalds across the street with two hefty bags in her arms. He'd followed her for a block until she came to three male hobos. One man stood up, advancing. Edward's steps quicken as he worried about her safety, then froze when he saw her smile for the first time. The sight alone had him forgetting what the problem was. Then she handed the man the bags.

Edward read the words, "Thank you." off the man's lips.

Bella nodded then went on her merry way.

Edward stood there, half eaten lunch forgotten as he marveled at how truly amazing this girl was.

Now she was standing before him, feeling like he was a overinflated ballon and loving every minute of it.

She looked at him for a long time, almost as if she couldn't believe what was happening, until she nodded quickly and pushed a loose hair behind her ear.

Edward smiled again, wanting to jump and snap his heals together or something just a corny. "Great! Here." He ran around the car to open the door for her.

She smiled while shaking her head, making the hand motion of Thank you. She knew sign language. He had no idea why this fact was a surprise to him. Though he'd never seen her do it until this point. Teachers didn't bother calling her name for answers in class and that was a shame because he'd snuck a peek at her work, seeing that she was a genius.

"You're very welcome." Edward said before carefully closing the door after she slid in.

When he turned to walk to the driver's side, Jess caught his attention. The strawberry blonde was glaring atomic bombs right in his direction. He'd taken her to homecoming three months ago, because they were friends. He figured it would be harmless. Friends went to dances all the time, right? No biggie. Wrong. It was a huge biggie to Jess. She's assumed they were going steady after eating at a nice restaurant with a group of friends that were paired into couples for the dance as well. They had shared a few slow dances, but they had danced with other people too. She was livid when Edward had politely informed her they were just friends, nothing more.
