Chapter Song: Titanium cover by Madilyn Bailey
Christmas seemed to be charging its way at them.
Bella barely had enough time to find something for Edward. She looked and looked, she even had help from Alice and Esme and still couldn't find the right gift.
She wanted it to be special. She really shouldn't have put so much pressure on herself, because Edward would've been happy to just be with her all day and she knew it, but she couldn't help it. This was their first Christmas together and she felt like she needed to give him something that showed how much she loved him.
The fact that Christmas Eve was only a week away didn't help her nerves at all.
She searched through Amazon on a last ditch attempt to find something, feeling like a crappy girlfriend that she couldn't do better. She typed in Ferris Bueller and found some shirts for a reasonable price. Though she wished money wasn't a concern, it was. She ordered three shirts, one said, Free Ferris, another said, Bueller? Bueller? Bueller? and the last, which she thought he'd like best, said, I'm a close personal fried of Ferris Bueller. She paid the extra money for the next day delivery.
"Thanks, baby. They're great," Edward said after opening his gift and seeing the shirts. "This one's my favorite," he said. holding up the one she'd thought he'd like best.
She smiled. I'm glad.
He stood and striped his shirt right off in front of her. She felt her heart beating in her ears as her eyes took in his abs and chest from such a close vantage point. He smirked before sliding on his preferred of the three shirts.
"I have something for you too." He announced before walking to his desk to grab a long burgundy box. He handed it to her and stayed standing as he watched her silently. She went to open it—
"I wanted it to be a surprise, but I wasn't sure what you liked. If you don't like it, I can return it."
She looked at him with her hand still paused over the box.
He smiled nervously. "Sorry. Go ahead."
She smiled before looking down as she opened the box to see a delicate silver chain with two circles clasped together, one bigger than the other. She stared at the beautiful necklace. She was almost afraid to touch, it seemed so fragile.
Edward took it out to clasp it around her neck. "It means infinity. It's eighty percent titanium and has a life time warranty on it." He stepped away and helped her stand up to look in the standing mirror in the corner.
She touched it with the tips of her fingers. It so totally described her. It was stronger than it seemed.
She turned to him. He was bouncing slightly with nerves as he licked his lips.
She smiled before pulling his face down to kiss him. The kiss professed her love of the gift, but mostly her love for him. He kissed her back just as fervently, murmuring, "God, I love you." when they broke apart for a second only to press their lips together again. He pulled her closer and she leaned against him eagerly as her head spun in the best way ever.
Someone knocking on the open door had them both hopping away from each other. It was Alice, getting a kick out of scaring them. "Everyone's here. We're waiting for you two."
Bella blushed uncontrollably as Edward hurled a pillow at Alice. She giggled and darted away before it could hit her.
He rubbed a thumb against Bella's cheek as he looked into her eyes. "Merry Christmas." Then they were kissing again and Bella couldn't remember what day it was anymore.
