WHY? (Hiatus)

Falling for your best friend; Hugh's POV

I closed the door with a sigh, glad Fi had liked her presents. I looked at my watch 9:30, I groaned, my mother would start pestering me to get some sleep if I didn't go to bed now. I brushed my teeth and clambered into bed closing my eyes and instantly falling asleep.

I awoke to my alarm clock going off, I groaned rolling round to face the damn thing. Aimlessly trying to turn it off, about 10 minutes later when I finally had gotten the beeping to stop, I sleepily walked to my bathroom. Hopping in the shower groaning in pleasure as the cool water waked me up a bit. 15 minutes later as I was heading out the door I got a text from Millard asking me if Fiona had liked her present. I quickly sent a reply before heading off to school. I met the gang at lunch near sitting at our usual table. Fi was talking to Emma and Olive, so I half-heartedly listened to Enoch complaining about his parents and Millard chattering excitedly about the swim trials coming up. I spotted Fiona wasn't eating that much, "Hey Fi why aren't you eating?" I asked her getting the reply of 'not hungry,' but that wasn't going to stop me from getting her to eat "come on Fi your already a stick you need to eat it's unhealthy. She sighed picking up her fork and eating a bit of the salad that was on her plate. I smiled to myself, success I had gotten her to eat something. The school bell rang signalling that lunch was over, I walked to maths annoyed about the stupid maths test I was gonna fail that we were supposed to be doing that lesson. I handed my test to the teacher at the end of the lesson before running to science since I was already late for class. I zoned out of science and English since they were boring and probably wouldn't harm me to miss out of. I literally ran out of the last lesson screaming excited that it was the last day of school because of the summer holidays. Fiona was already waiting for me at the gate. On the walk to her house, I started to see different things about Fi I had never noticed about her in the 16 years I had known her. Like the way, her auburn hair had golden highlights in it when it hit the sun and when tied up little bits would fall out of the ponytail framing her face perfectly. The way her eyes were a gorgeous green with blue flecks. The way her face was covered with thousands of freckles that made her look adorable, the way her lips looked like they were the softest things in the world, how they looked so kissable.

' Oh god,' I thought 'I was falling for my best friend!'
