Waking with a start, I glanced at my watch it read 7:30 great I had at least an hour before school started and I wanted to get there early so I can see the gang and discuss what time we are going to meet up at Millard's place for another movie night, I wondered what we were going to watch though knowing Millard it would probably be a sci-fi, the matrix or something like that no that I minded I mean he is one of my best mates. My mind kept wandering back to last night's conversation I had with my parents, what did my mum mean when she said:"Hugh, promise whatever you do, do not ever let that girl go, she's a keeper, you understand." By now I had realised I had feelings for my best friend and I knew it was obvious I mean I wouldn't be surprised if the girl herself knew. Shaking my head getting rid of the thought. I hurried through to my bathroom, then splashed my face with nice cool water and jumped quickly into the shower shaking the water from my hair off like a soaking wet dog. I smiled, yesterday's memories coming back to me remembering what it felt like to hold her. "Apparently, the big thing in the news right now was that Donald Trump had said 'that if she wasn't my daughter I would marry her,' as it was front page of the Daily Times this morning." My mother told me as I walked down the stairs about to leave for school, I had already done my morning routine. "Trump somehow gets worse every day doesn't he," I heard my father reply, grinning I promptly said goodbye to the two of them, before stepping out of the house stopping at the nearest bus stop. Arriving shortly after I got there, the bus pulled up to the kerb with a screech. I stepped onto the school bus nodding good morning to the driver as I passed by him, searching around for my friends spotting them near the back I slowly made my way over. Waiting as Millard instantly shifted over allowing me to sit down next to him, spotting a grumpy looking Enoch on the other side of him I said hello. Throughout the bus ride me, Enoch and Millard had an interesting conversation around what movie we are going to see tonight, as I suspected, we're meant to see The Matrix, a fascinating film about a man, who is a computer programmer by day and a hacker under a different name at night, who discovers a whole new world most people don't know about. I was remarkably enthusiastic about tonight knowing that one of my favourite films was what the group and I were going to be watching. So much in fact that the day disappeared completely and before I knew it home time had arrived. The only bad thing about that day that had happened was that for some bizarre reason Fi had been ignoring me throughout the entire day, so it was a massive surprise for me when I got a text from the girl asking if Tomorrow afternoon she could come over for some help on maths homework, of course, I replied with an obvious yes. I had just entered my room before checking the time, realising that I somehow had only fifteen minutes to get to Fiona's house I scurried out the door and ran as fast as I could to her house arriving there with five minutes to spare. Stressed I knocked on the door before running a hand through my hair ruffling it up a bit accidently. Suddenly the door creaked opened revealing a grinning Fiona.
