"Pft..."
Jun, Shuu, and I tried our best to hold back our laughter.
The faces we drew were almost too silly to take seriously,
but nevertheless...
they held a great deal of meaning to us--
like a symbol of our everlasting friendship.
Contrary to our amused expressions, however,
Kame sighed.
"You know, if this tree really is special...
aren't we kind of defiling it?"
"Relax.
I'm sure the forest god wouldn't be that angry at a bunch of kids having fun."
Jun reassured us.
"I suppose so." Kame relented.
"Regardless...
this place feels really nice, doesn't it?"
We all looked around.
We hadn't noticed it before, but...
He was right.
An abundance of beautiful flowers and greenery surrounded us,
making the air feel extremely fresh and relaxing.
Not to mention the gentle wind that occasionally blew around the area...
"So comfortable..." Shuu sighed.
The three shut their eyes and breathed in and out,
taking in all the fresh scents
as well as imprinting the memory deeply into their minds.
I closed my eyes too and did the same.
Really,
I'm glad we came here today.
Many feelings rushed through my mind at that moment,
clashing and mixing with each other.
But above all those feelings,
one emerged above the rest
whenever I was with these three.
Happiness.
That much I was certain of.
