My Life as a Fangirl

Not Today

"Hoseok..." I said with a pout.

"Time to wake up. We have to hurry before they find us." He said.

"Why do they hate us so much?" I asked for the millionth time.

"I've told you this over and over again. It's because we're different, we cause trouble and they can't control us." He answered. "I'll get everyone else up."

"I'll get the van packed." I said as I began to throw everything into the van.

My name is Lee Soo Myung. I'm part of the few people who have a unique personality. In other words I have a strong will and I'm curious. The government can't control me. For years I hid thinking I was the only one but I stumble across many who were like me.

After about 3 months of hiding together, we were found. It's been a year since then. A year that we have been running for our lives. They've been on our tail ever since. The only rest we get is sleep and that sleep has now ended.

"C'mon everyone!" I shouted.

"Soo Myung...we have to ditch the van." He said. "We're going through a desert and mountains. Carry what you can and only what you need."

"They're going to catch up to us." I said.

"Not really. They have to go on foot too so it's okay." He rested his hand on my shoulder. "We won't get caught."

"I trust you." I smiled and gathered my things.

Everyone was ready so we went on our way. We were safe for about a day but when we woke up, we saw about 30 men running towards us.

"Hoseok!!" I shouted. "Everyone get up they're coming!!"

We ran as fast as we could leaving everything behind. I could barely keep up with everyone else but I did it. I was very very close to the people chasing us which made me very uneasy.

We ran for what felt like years. I looked above us and saw little gun Nozzles sticking out of the mountain aimed at us.

"Everyone look above u-" I was cut off by a gunshot to my friends. "Seokjin! Taehyung!"

I saw another gun and it was pointed to Hoseok. "Hoseok move!" I shouted but he didn't move. I realized that I would have to move him myself. "Sorry Hoseok but you aren't dying today." I thought to myself. "Not today" I said as I felt a bullet penetrate me.

As I laid on the ground, I didn't see the men in black anymore. All I saw was Hoseok's face. "I'm...sorry..." I breathed.

"Why did you do that?" He asked me and grabbed my hand.

"Today isn't your day to die." I answered. "It may be mine though. It feels like it."

"It's just your arm. You'll live." He reassured me.

"Hoseok...I love you..." I said.

"I know. I know." He pulled me into a hug. "I promise that one day will come when we don't have to run anymore."

"Don't make a girl a promise you can't keep." I said.

"I'll keep it." He held me tighter.

I smiled and drifted into the best sleep I'd had in years...
