The Joshifrax Chronicles

Chapter One

Josh wandered the pale snow. He wore slippers, ripped pants and a big fluffy brown coat. He didn't really know where he was. He saw a small cottage in the distance. He hadn't ate in weeks. He barely even knew his own name. He wished to dash towards the cottage but his lack of strength from his starvation made him only walk. Josh hoped that whatever was in that cottage wished no harm upon him. He neared the cottage, when he could walk no more. His feet gave out and he felt a rush of cold as he fell into the snow. Josh knew he would die if he stayed like this. He heard a door open and slam. He felt himself lifted into the air. That was when he lost consciousness. He awoke laying on a couch by a fireplace. He saw a very handsome man kneeling on the floor wearing fur pants. The man was dipping a washcloth into a bowl and rubbing it against Josh's skin.

He then said to Josh, "Perfect, you're finally awake. Here eat this." He hands Josh an apple. Josh weakly accepts the apple and takes a bite out of it.

The man speaks again, "If you were wondering who I am, they call me Percifrax but you can call me Perci."

Josh lightly smiles and says, "Thank you for taking care of me, I thought I'd surely die out there. My name is Josh." Josh realizes that he's naked with only a soft blanket over him.

Perci says, "There was something about you, I couldn't just let you die there." Perci stands up and walks to his pot hanging in the fireplace. He grabs a bowl and begins scooping a brown liquid into it. Josh breathes through his nose, smelling what was cooking. Josh's stomach rumbled in anticipation. Perci walks over to Josh and spoon feeds Josh the liquid. Josh feels the warm delicious liquid run down his throat with each swallow. When the bowl was empty, Perci set the bowl aside.

Perci asks, "Josh, how are you feeling?"

Josh replies, "Not the best but much better than I was out there." Josh tries to remember why he was out in the snow and gets a headache. He only seems to remember snow. Josh looks at Perci's lips. Perci light kisses Josh's forehead, sending shivers down Josh's spine. Josh grabs Perci's head and brings his lips to his. Josh slips his tongue into Perci's mouth. Perci is shocked by this but lets it happen. They makeout for about a minute, when Perci comes to his senses. He takes his lips off of Josh. Josh stares into Perci's eyes.

Josh says, "Sorry about that."

Perci replies, "No need to be sorry, I knew this day would come."
