Chapter 14

Harry's POV

I was walking back upstairs to meet Carlie. I had brought up some ice cream and cookies, comfort food. I knew I was gonna need them when I gave her that note from Austin. I read the not myself over and over and it even hurt me for what he said. Austin was a player, no doubt, but when he tol me he wanted Carlie back, you could tell he wasn't going to use her like all those other girls.

*Flashback to a couple days ago*

"Dude, she definitely a ten" I blurted out and gave a low whistle at the girl who just walked past us. She smirked and kept walking. I looked over at Austin. "Ehh, 8.5.... on a good day" Austin looked over at me and we started cracking up.

We were at the recreation center just hanging out together before school tomorrow.

He looked in the opposite direction and stayed like that. "Bro, it's not nice to stare" I said in a joking tone and punched his arm. "Heyy" he said sounding a 3 year old and I just laughed. "Now she's definitely a 10" he sai looking back in that direction. I looked over to see who he was looking at. "Carlie...your Ex? The girl you broke up with for that blonde we met at the beach? You tormented her the whole time you guys dated but she was too afraid to break up with you.....Now she's a '10'?" He looked over at me, he knew I was right.

"Come on, people change...I changed. I'm gonna try for her again" Austin stated with a wink. Tomorrow..at school.." I gave him a questioning look but he didn't notice. His eyes were glued on Carlie. Damn he was really serious about this..

*End of flashback*

He really wanted her and she started to want him too. That's why when she reads the note, she gonna need all her friends with her. While I was downstairs I called Alexa and Trinity and texted Anthony. He wasn't suppose to leave but of course he ditched like always. Anyway at least Alexa and Trin said they were on their way.

I was walking up the stairs and I heard loud sobs coming from where I left Carlie. I ran back to Austin's room and found her sitting in the swivel chair with her head in her knees crying. I looked around and found the note crumpled into a ball on the floor and her phone shattered near a dent in the wall. Oh shit...she was a lot more heartbroken about Austin than anyone expected...probably not even Austin himself.

I ran over to her and picked her up so she was on her feet again. I hugged her tight and didn't let go, and neither did she. She just cried into my chest.

A couple of minutes later Alexa and Trinity came in, but neither if us could hear them over Carlie's crying. However I saw them walk in so I knew they were there. Alexa gave me a concerned look and I nodded over the crumpled paper that Austin wrote on the floor. Alexa picked it up and read it, Trinity over her shoulder reading it too. I saw Alexa's eyes get glossy as she read it. then thy both ran over to us and joined in on the hug.

Suddenly I remembered the food I brought up before. I wiggled out of the hug and went back downstairs to get 2 more spoons. I came back up and we all shared the food... I looked at Alexa and she asked to talk to me in the hall. I agreed and followed her and closed the door behind us. "Harry..." she trailed off. I brought her into a hug. "I feel so bad for her....an-and it hurts me because I know where he is too."
