Chapter 27

Carlie's POV

Oh my god.... He left, again. No. I let him leave. I let him out if my hands not once, not twice. Not even three...but four times. I let him go four times and I never told him to stay...with me.

That's when a thought popped into my head. I never told him I loved him. He's told me that before, but I haven't. And now I'll never be able to. Now he is gone forever and I'm probably never gonna see him again. Not that he is gonna want to see me anyway.

'You broke him' my mind hissed. 'he broke you, and now you broke him. You should've let it go and let him love you.....You should have listened to him and went to his house that night. Then you wouldn't be in this mess.'

That night, all those months ago, is where it all started. I haven't thought about that day for a long time. 2 1/2 months actually. Not since I started dating Mason.....

Wait, Mason!

"Where is Mason?" I practically hollered even though it just made my head hurt even more.

"Oh, he left too. He looked pretty pissed, a-and when I tried to talk to him, he insisted he understood, but I'm not sure if I could believe that" Alexa began to trail off. I didn't want her to tell me about the whole conversation, and I could tell she didn't want to go into detail so Iq just nodded and let it go, for now.

Austin was my main priority right now. Finding him and getting him to be mine. And if I didn't? I might just go crazy...literally.

Trinity's POV

Carlie was released from the hospital yesterday after noon, but not because she was 100% fine. I honestly think it was because she was begging and annoying the hell out of the doctor to the point he thought just screw it.

Austin had left without a trace 2 days ago and since Carlie is my best friend, her, Anthony, and I have been driving around everyday, all day looking for him. We checked all the hotels in and near San Antonio and we went to all his friends houses to see if they knew anything... Nothing.

It was as if Austin was gone. With no trace what so ever. He was determined to leave all the memories behind and start a new life. Start over. He even changed his phone number.

Then out of no where, a thought occurred to me as to where he might be. It sounds stupid that we haven't checked there, but what if Austin is at......his house?

Austin's POV

It's been two days since I left the girl who completely broke my heart, behind in that hospital room. I couldn't stand knowing what she did to me. I wish my memory never came back.

Think about being stabbed in the heart by you own parents, how bad that would make you feel. Then multiply it by 1074 and you'll feel how I felt right now.

The past two days I've been staying in the basement of my house. My mom doesn't know I'm down here. I snuck in through the window, and she never came down here anyway. It was like the man cave in my house and my dad would never let my mom come in and I carried on that "tradition" by not letting her in either.

Anyway, I was kind of surprised my friends haven't checked my own house for me yet. I knew they were looking for me and at first I kind of wanted them to find me. But after being trapped down here with nothing but my thoughts, I now know I don't need them to find me.

With that idea in my mind, I decided to pack my stuff up and leave my house for a while. Maybe stay at a few hotels? I'm not really sure but as long as I'm far from here I'll be okay.

I was still packing some of the few things I still had with me when I went to Harry's aunts house when I heard the doorbell ring. Crap! They're here..I know it's them..

Anthony's POV

Trinity had given us an idea of where Austin may be, and even though it was kind of obvious, no one else had thought of it so props to you Trin.

We were pulling up to his house and I don't even stop the car before Carlie was out running to the door.

To be honest, Carlie looked horrible. Her eyes were red and puffy and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't cover up the fact that she hadn't slept since they released her.

Trin and I caught up with Carlie just as Mama Mahone was answering the door. She too looked horrible. I guess since her and Austin were so close it takes a really long time to get over him leaving.

"Umm, Michele... We were just wondering if Austin was here?" I said slowly. She cringed at his name and I saw a single tear fall, but she quickly wiped it away.

"Austin? No. Why?" she said seeming a little more interested in us now. I looked at Carlie and she just stood there looking at the floor. I nudged her with my elbow and she looked up knowing she had to say something.

"Well, after he visited me at the hospital...I-I mean before he left the other day.I-I just thought he would be here and-"

"Wait!" Michele interrupted. "Austin was back...in town and no one told me until now?!"

Uh-oh I thought. He never came to see her. She had no idea he was even in town.

I could tell we were in an awkward situation and I opened my mouth to say something but I didn't get the chance. There was a loud shatter coming from somewhere in the house.

We all gave Mrs. Mahone a questioning look but she seemed just as confused. "Where did that come from?" Trinity and Carlie said in unison. Then it hit me...

"The Mancave!" I yelled feeling like I should've realized this before. The girls gave me a confused look but I just ignored them and ran down the hall to a door that people rarely went through. Austin's dad's mancave. That's where the noise was coming from and I knew it.

Everyone was following close behind me. We all expected to go down there and see Austin standing there....but we didn't. Instead, we saw a vase that was knocked down and an open window.

I quickly went over to the window and looked out. There he was... Running out of the backyard, leaving again. Trying not to be see was Austin.

I felt Carlie squirm behind me as she was trying to see out the window too. When she finally got a look, he was gone.

Carlie turned around with her eyes watering. "D-did yo-ou see him-m" she said stuttering. I drew in a deep breathe, and shook my head. "no" I sighed. " I didn't see him, he was too far gone....."

When I reality, I saw him, and not only did I see him, but I had an idea where he was going to end up..

Okay so sorry I haven't updated in 4 days, but I've been really busy with stuff. Especially last night when I WENT TO GO SEE AUSTIN IN CONCERT!!! Yeah so anyway it was amazing and sadly it's over :( but I'm glad I got to update for you guys and btw I have a feeling this book will end soon. So ummm... yeah but I'm gonna write another Austin Mahone story! if you want leave some comments with ideas and if you want to be in it just let me now! okeyyyy byerssss
