It's a cool September morning as I'm drinking my morning coffee, wearing my Oklahoma Sooner pants and my Hunter shirt. My room mate, Melanie, is still sound asleep. It's 8:00 and the only reason I'm up is that I need to be relaxed for the Sooner's game against the Tulsa Hurricane later tonight. I am a Clarinet player in the Pride of Oklahoma, which is the Oklahoma University band. I am listening to "See You Tonight" by Scotty McCreery all wrapped up in my Hunter blanket. Don't get me wrong, I love Hunter's music, but sometimes I need something else to listen to. Like right now; I'm trying not to cry because I miss Hunter so much and Scotty's music is helping me. After the song is over, I hear "Cry With You" start to play through my headphones. As I hear Hunter's voice in my ears, I can't help but burst into tears knowing he isn't with me.
All of a sudden my eyes are blinded in the darkness of the room by my phone lighting up. I look down and see Hunter's face along with a text message. I unlock my phone, absolutely ecstatic to read the message. The message reads, "Morning, Michaela! I hope I didn't wake you. If I did, I'm really sorry. I just miss my best friend though. I know you have a game to play at tonight so rock that Clarinet! Haha! I'm busy today, but I can talk for about four hours then I have to get on a plane. Text me when you get this!"
