"Hey gorgeous," my best friend/crush Kenny approached me after school, causing me to blush at his words.

It's no secret that Kenny is a major flirt with everyone, so no, his best friend wouldn't be an exception. It was actually kinda entertaining, once I got past the awkwardness and started playing along, flirting back.

"Hey," I grinned, latching my arm onto his free one, the other carrying his skateboard.

"What are you doing tonight?" He made it sound like he was going to ask me out, earning a couple dirty glances from the kids who drooled over him.

"Absolutely nothing, why?" I glanced over at him.

His smile grew and he pulled his arm from mine, walking away backwards,"meet me in the mall parking lot in a half hour, and bring your board."

He lifted his skateboard a bit to show what he meant before dropping it on the ground and skating down the street. I assumed he was going straight there.

I hurried home, throwing my books on my bed and grabbing my skateboard. My parents weren't home so I just left a note and skated all the way to the mall.

I was like fifteen minutes late, but Kenny can get over it.

"Well well well. Look who finally decided to show up," he raised a brow, not even trying to hide his amusement.

"You're lucky I showed at all," I winked, walking behind him to set my board down and sit on it.

He chuckled, "so your company is a privilege now, is that it?" He turned around, looking at me with a smirk.

"Yes ma'am."

He rolled his eyes with a grin and started to skate, successfully landing every trick.

"You know a skateboard is for skating not sitting, right?" He stopped in front of me, taking both of my hands in his and pulling me to my feet.

He held on for a few seconds before pulling away and rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"Fine," I quickly turned so he couldn't see my blush, grabbing my board to attempt some tricks.

I only landed like every other trick, which caused Kenny to laugh at me every time. I laughed along the first couple times but the insults quickly got old.

"Wow Y/n, you're worse than Cartman," he chuckled.

I huffed, grabbing my bag and starting to walk away.

"Awh don't be like that Y/n. I was just kidding" he mocked in a childish tone.

I turned around with a scowl, "no, you're being a dick. I just wanted to hang out with you, not be criticized every five fucking seconds."

His expression filled with slight regret as he approached me, "I wasn't meaning to be an asshole Y/n."

"Oh really? Then what the fuck were your intentions?" I snapped.

He looked at the ground but spoke without hesitation, "I really like you Y/n... I've been debating on whether I should tell you or not tonight, and I guess it kinda made me act like a major ass. I'm sorry..."

I froze, still scowling as I processed what he had just said. My expression softened as he finally looked up.

"Y-you like me? You were insulting me because you like me?"

He laughed nervously, "yeah... It sounds worse when you put it like that..."

I stared at him blankly for a few seconds before speaking up, "I like you too Kenny."

His head shot up as his nervous expression was replaced with a hopeful one, "you do? Even after I treated you like shit?"

"Yes, I do. But that doesn't mean you aren't going to pay for being such an asshole." I let out a small laugh and shuffled nervously.

Kenny grinned, stepping closer, "and how do you propose I do that?" He wrapped his arm loosely across my shoulders as we started walking towards my house.

I smirked, pushing his arm away from my shoulder and stopping to face him. I leaned in to whisper softly in his ear, "if you really like me, then you can be patient."

My smile grew as I pulled away, seeing his frustration.

I kissed his cheek and started walking again. He stayed behind for a few seconds before catching up.

"Fine. If that's how you want to play it, then I'll wait."

I stopped once more, smiling sweetly up at him. I leaned in and placed a slow yet loving kiss on his lips. I pulled away to see his eyes were still closed.

I grinned ear to ear before turning on my heel, facing back to the direction of my house.

Kenny looked down at me confused.

My smile grew as he groaned at my words, "starting now."
