Chapter Twenty-three:

It is the next day and somehow we were able to calm Skye down last night. I think it helped with Mark called him his little brother.

Flashback:

We have all just gotten inside. " I understand why Maggie stood up for me but why did you Mark?" Skye says wondering.

" Because little man you are my little brother and I would and will do anything to make you happy." Mark says smiling.

" You really look at me as a little brother?" Skye says smiling for the first time since he ran to us.

" Yeah I do. You are an amazing kid you know that right?" Mark says.

" Thanks big brother." Skye says and hugs Mark.

Mark hugs him back. Easton whispers in my ear, " You have amazing kids. I love that Mark looks at Skye as a little brother. It is like we are one big happy family." She says smiling.

" Yes it is and I love you."

" I love you too."

We kiss.

Flash back over:

That night I decided that I wanted us all to be a real family so I went a dropped a small fortune on something that I hope she would enjoy.

I called everyone last night. They were all happy to hear my plan and help. However Grace was really pissed at her kids since she would have to miss it.

She called me this morning though and told me that Luna and her would be able to stay for tonight. They were just going to keep the twins locked inside the house all day.

It is night time and all of the family is over at the place my little family is staying. We are eating and having a good time.

When the time comes I pull Easton into my lap. I say, " So I have a surprise for you."

" And what would that be?" She says with a smile on her face.

I bring out papers and show them to her. Her eyes go really big. " What the hell did you do?"

" I bought us this house to vacation at." I say as if it wasn't a big deal.

" Well you shouldn't have done that! Yes it is a lovely vacation house but it must have cost an arm and a leg. Oh wait sorry forgot that your family is rich but still how could you have done this. I don't want you spending this much money on me ever. If you bought this for our little family then you should have at least talked to me about it first." She says and I can tell that she is kinda really mad.

" Well I kinda wanted to buy this house." I say once again as if it is no big deal.

" Oh so you wanted to kinda buy this house so you went out and bought it? Seems to me that you maybe have lost your fucking mind! I can't be with someone who would just go out and buy a house without talking to me first! "

She looks at the family and says, " I'm sorry you all had to see this side of me but you may not be seeing me after this trip. It was really nice getting to know all of you. Now Abby if you don't mind I am going to sleep!"

She gets up and starts to walk away. I knew she would be mad about me buying this house because I'm not that stupid, but I never knew that she would want to leave me.

I get down on one knee and pull out a little white box. Maggie and Mark have been standing in her way which she has been trying to get by the two of them with out really caring that everyone was looking at me now.

They turn her around and I open the box that held a huge diamond ring which most people probably couldn't even afford on a year income. Her mouth drops.

" Easton I love you with all my heart and you make me the most happiest person in the world. My kids love you and your son, and you son loves my kids and I. I love your son like he was my own hell scratch that Skye is mine and I want him growing up with two people who make each other as happy as we make each other When you were talking about us being a family yesterday it go me thinking, I know I am your professor and I could lose my job for even dating you but I will be danmed if I waist anymore time before I have a ring on your hand. The reason I bought this house is so that we could always come back here to where I got on one knee to marry me. I want our grandkids one day to know the story behind this house. So with all of that said Easton Lay Monrow will you marry me and become Easton Lay Hill." By the end we are both crying and everyone is smiling at us.

Skye walks up to her and holds up his arms. She picks him up and he says, " Mommy please marry momma. I love you both and want you to be very happy. Just say yes."

Everyone smiles at him and Easton says, " Well son I was kinda getting there. However Abby the answer to your question is yes. Yes of course I will marry you."

She puts Skye down and walks over to me. I get up and while I do I pick her up and spin her around. We start making out and we hear groans from our kids but she ignore them. In this moment I couldn't be happier and I know that it is the same for her.
