Chapter Twelve:

It has been a week and Mark is living with Abby now. The attic looks awesome. Everyone helped to turn it into a room. Right now I am in class. I am hanging out with Kinsley. People have started giving their reports on the modalities. It is now lunch time and Kinsley says, " Let's go and get something to eat."

" Ok well let me see if Miss Abby wants something to eat."

He nods. I walk up to her desk. " Hey Kinsley and I are going to get something to eat. Do you want anything?"

" Yeah I'll give you money and just surprise me."

I nod. She gives me money for herself and I. Kinsley and I leave. We run to a little pizza place. I get a small pizza for Abby and I to share. After we get our food we go back to class. However when we get there the building is surrounded by cops. We have only been gone for thirty minutes.

I see Henry so I walk up to him. I say, " What is going on?"

" The building is on lock down. Maggie's dad is inside."

" Why is it on lock down just because of that."

He runs his hand through his hair. He says, " I guess Abby didn't tell you. Maggie's dad got out of jail a week after class started. He is very dangerous. He has come to try and get his daughter and he figured the best way to do that is to go through Abby. I just hope he doesn't know that Mark is living with her."

I nod. Now I'm scared for Abby and Blain. I say, " Have you called Alex? Blain is inside."

" I didn't know that so no I haven't called him. Can you call him for me?"

" Yeah." I walk off and Kinsley walks up to me. He says, " What's going on?"

" The class is on lock down because Miss Abby's baby daddy is in there. He is a dangerous person. I have to go and call Blain's husband."

He nods and lets me walk off. When I get far enough away I call Alex. He picks up and says, " Easton what is up?"

" I have some bad news. You may want to sit down for it."

" Your scaring me. I am sitting though so just tell me what is going on."

" Maggie's dad is in the class. Henry just told me he is dangerous. The cops are surrounding the building and the class is on lock down."

" Is Blain and Abby inside?"

" Yeah they are."

" Oh no. Ok I'm on my way. I will call Amber if you call Grace."

" Ok I will."

We hang up and I call Grace. She picks up and says, " Hey Easton."

" Hey I got bad news. Maggie's dad is in the class with Abby and Blain. The class is on lock down."

" Please tell me Henry is there."

" Yes he is with a bunch of other cops."

" Ok well I will try to get there as soon as I can. I'm at work right now so it may take a while before I can leave."

" I understand. Drive safely."

" I will."

We hang up. Ten minutes later Amber and Nicole run up to me. They give me a hug. Amber says, " I can't believe he got inside. Nicole go and see what your dad's plan is."

Nicole nods and runs off. While she is talking to her dad Alex runs up. He says, " Is there any news on what is going on?"

" Not yet. Nicole has gone to see what Henry's plan is."

He nods and gives us a hug. Kinsley is sitting in his car. He is watching me like what the fuck is she doing with all these people. Nicole walks back up to us and says, " My dad is trying to talk to Josh. Right now my dad is trying to get as many people out as he can."

We nod. Amber says, " How many people are inside?"

" There are ten people." I say.

Everyone nods. Not long after five of my classmates walk out but Blain is not one of them. The cops talk to each of them trying to see if they are ok and if they can get more details. I walk up to one of my classmates. I say, " What does it look like in there?"

" He has a gun aimed on Miss Abby. Blain is trying to talk him out of it for some reason. Everyone else is just scared and is staying in their seats."

I nod. Alex says, " Blain needs to stop being so brave. I appreciate what she is doing but she needs to think about our son."

The girl nods and walks away. I look at him and say, " Everything will be ok." He nods.

Nicole goes to talk to her dad again. Grace runs up to us. She says, " Is there anything new that you have found out?"

" Maggie's dad let five of the classmates out. He has a gun on Abby and Blain is trying to talk him out of it."

She nods and gives everyone a hug. A news van shows up. The people get out of the van and starts rolling. Nicole walks back and says, " Dad has to give a news conference in five. However he told me that they are trying to talk Josh into letting everyone else out."

We nod. Five minutes later Henry gives a news conference. There are now three news vans in all. While that is going on three more of my classmates are aloud to walk out. However Blain still doesn't come out.

Ten minutes later Maggie and Mark run up. Maggie says, " Why didn't anyone call me?"

Amber says, " It isn't safe for you two to be here. How did you find out?"

" I had to fucking find out by a teacher who saw the news! Mark fucking found out by the news! Do you know how it feels finding out the way we did! You are our family and you should of called us!"

" Maggie chill out. You don't know how dad is but I do. It isn't safe for you to be here. Can someone get her out of here?" Mark says.

Maggie turns on him and says, " I'm not leaving. It is just as unsafe for you."

" Yeah but I know how to handle the man."

The news conference is over. Henry walks up to us. He says, " Who told Maggie and Mark? You two need to leave."

Maggie tells him how they found out. Mark says, " Sir I know how to handle Josh. Please let me go in."

Henry thinks about it and says, " Ok but you are going in with a small camera attached to you."

Mark nods. He walks over to the police van with Henry.
