"Ok, first, the Officer and Prisoner should go." Shadow started. "Then the Officer come back."

While she ordered them around, me and Alex stood a bit behind, and chatted a little bit.

"No way!" He reacted. "I can't believe you did that when you were 15."

"I have proof. Really." I ensured. "It was the worst birthday ever. But I couldn't ask for much. After all, I was living with my neighbors."

"But, they do that kind of party when a girl turns 15?" He asked.

"Well, they're Brazilians. They told me it's a custom there." I told him. "They always wanted a daughter, and when I showed up on their doorsteps, they took me in."

"That's so nice of them. I wish my parents were a bit less traditional."

  "What are they like?"

"Mr. and Mrs. Higgins. Does it ring any bell?"

"These names do sound familiar." I tried to recall where I've heard those names. "Wait! THE Higgins? The ones who built almost all of the buildings in that part of Scotland?"

"That's them." He sighted. "They wanted me to study at an engineering school. But I refused. I enrolled on a detective academy."

"Wait. You're telling me you're a Higgins? And that you played Scotland Yard in ... a Scotland yard?"

"Pretty much that." He stopped for a moment. "Hey, being a detective isn't easy. I've been working on this case about a company and the murder of two of their scientists. I know they were married. But I need more information."

"You're already on a case? I thought you were a junior detective."

"Nah, I've graduated last year. I'm already a full-fledged detective."

"Oh really? And where is your pipe and magnifying glass?" I joked.

"Ha ha. Stereotypes are so funny. But really. I can't find who killed them. They had a wound on their chest and no signs of struggle."

"So, they probably knew the person who killed them." I suggested.

"Ok, now, me and Magnus go, then Magnus will stay there and I'll be back. I'll give you the rest of the orders when I come back." Shadow said to everyone but Drake and Dylan.

"They seem to be having fun." I said. "But back to your case, what's the name of that company?"

"It was Scientific Illusions." He answered. "Does it mean something to you?"

"I think I've heard it before. But can't remember where."

We talked some more until we noticed no one else was there. The elevator doors were open, so we entered and pressed the deck C button. It slowly accented to our destination, so we didn't have much more time to talk.

But I felt like those minutes the others spent to get everyone on deck C were good. I got to know Alex a bit more.

When the doors opened, we met 8 people with very angry faces.

"Sup guys." I said, trying to break the ice.

"You wasted 5 minutes of our time. You better make up for them." Josh threatened us. "If we don't escape because of those 5 minutes, you'll pay."

"Pay for what? If we don't escape because of those five minutes, the ship will sink, killing us." I said, getting past him. "Now, the more you spend telling us we took too long, the more time we lose. Come on."
