Bonded By Blood (Kiryu Zero X OC X Kuran Kaname)

Chapter One

Zero, Ichiru and I were outside playing in the snow. And I was more happier than usual. It was the 5 year I've been here with them.

"Oi... who's that?" I say as I point to a women in the tree we were near.

"Aika... Don't go near her." Zero say with ichiru behind him.

"Why? She seems lonely."

"She's not human. She dangerous."

"But she's hurting... I can feel it. Her eyes show it all."

"Aika, get inside now."

"I'm going," I said slowly walking away.

"Ichiru, stay away from her too."

We walk back and before I step inside I turn once more to catch a glimpse of her. She was watching us the whole way back. When we got back inside Zero was telling mother about the whole situation.

"Shizuka Hio..." She whispered. "Okay, It's past your guys' bedtime. Let me tuck you in."

"Okay..." I said and I went to my room and Zero and ichiru to theirs.

After she tucked in Zero and Ichiru, she came into my room with a bright smile plastered on her face.

"Mother you seem to know the lady in the tree, Why is she so sad?"

"That's not up for discussion at the moment, Aika, I'm sorry."

"It's fine," I said as she pulled the covers over me.

"Sweet dreams." She whispered as she kissed my forehead, and proceeded to leave the room.

"Good night." She turned the light off and shut the door.

I closed my eyes in hope to fall asleep but something like a faint whisper was keeping me awake.

"Aika..."

"Hmm...?" I stir.

"Aika... Aika..."

I felt uneasy, but I decided to look out my window anyway. And there she was... Just staring at me.

"Aika..."

"What do you want from me...?" I said soft and quiet.

"Aika..."

I decided to open the window as there was no wind, only the snowflakes falling silently.

"What do you want from me, Shizuka?" I said again. "What happened? You seem lonely..."

"Kuran..."

"Huh?"

And the window slammed shut as I just stood there. The wind was now roaring to the window like an avalanche. And as fast as it came, it disappeared the same, and Shizuka was nowhere to be found.

The next few days were normal and unusually calm.

Today we had dinner like always and we were just talking... Until Shizuka came.

"ZERO!" I cried. Shizuka had bitten him.

She took away everything I loved. She killed my parents, took Ichiru, and all she did to me... She gave me a soft kiss on my forehead. One that made my stomach turn as my conscious started to drifting way.

"You deserve it my sweet." She smiles and she walks away hand in hand with Ichiru.

I reached out my hand to zero who laid upon the ground, everything went away...

I awoke in bed, and not my usual warm bed. But instead, in a cold dark unknown place. I decided to take the blankets off and head toward the door.  As I put my hand on the doorknob it was already being twisted. I stepped back and grabbed the lamp that was upon a nightstand beside as the door opened I throw the lamp at the identity.

"OWWWW~!" A man with a ponytail and glasses yelled.

"ZERO!? HELP ME!"

"I think there's a misunderstanding..." He sweatdrops.

"Huh?" I back away as He steps forward. "I don't k-know you."

"I found you and zero... and brought you here. I'm Cross Kaien, I also have a daughter, Cross Yuki.

"Ah. I see. I'm sorry about... the lamp back there. Hehe. I'm Kiryu Aika." I rub the nape of my neck while bowing.

"No, It's fine." Blood streams down his face.

"OI, YOU'RE BLEEDING."

"I'm fine."

"You don't look fine, Sir."

"Call me, Father..." He fake cries.

"Sir?" He faints. "ZERO!"

He finally woke up about a couple hours later.

"Sir? I'm really sorry." I bow.

"It's truly fine, But call me father~!"He tries to hug me.

"Why?"

"I'm taking in you and Zero~!"

"I'm not calling you father," Zero says bluntly.

"WHY~?"

"There's food headmaster. Why don't we eat?" Yuki says.

"You too Yuki~?" he fake cries again.

We all sat down silently.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door.

"Ah, It must be Kaname-sama!" Yuki said heading to the door.

She walked back into the room with a boy about a year or two older than me. Zero tensed up. And grabbed a knife from the table.

A vampire...

"NO ZERO!" Yuki yelled

"Vampire!" Zero had stabbed him in the arm.

"You just upright stabbed me for no reason, that isn't nice." The vampire said, as his glare moved to me.

"SHUT UP, YOU VAMPIRE! I know what you are, you have the same smell as the woman." HIs glance moves back to Zero.

" 'That woman'... then you must be Kiryu Zero. I'm very sorry for what happened to your family but, I do not intend to stand here and have you kill me either." He pulls zeros hand away resulting in the knife being pulled out, and the knife falls to the floor

That night my head was filled with thoughts. Thoughts of that woman. My hand touched my forehead without thinking, and my nails dig into the skin, over and over and over again.

"Why? Why? Why? WHY!? Why won't it come off?! WHY WON'T HER TOUCH COME OFF?! WHY? Why does it still linger with me like this? WHY?!" Blood streamed down my face as I rip at my skin over and over. "Why? Why? Why? WHY DID SHE DO THAT?! WHY WON'T SHE JUST DIE?!" I start to cry. Blood and tears mix together as they fall down my face.

"AIKA! Open the door!" Zero yells.

"WHY DID SHE DO THIS TO ME?! WHY?! WHY DID SHE TAKE ICHIRU?! WHY DID SHE HURT YOU AND SPARE ME?! WHY DID SHE KILL OUR PARENTS?! WHY CAN'T SHE JUST DIE?!" The door unlocks and zero comes rushing in. "Why?! Why?!... Why?..." I ask as he embraces me.

"I don't know Aika... But I do know that you're safe. The both of us are. And I will do anything to keep you that way. But for now stop thinking, and I'll clean you up. But you need to sleep here in a minute." He leaves and grabs a towel, and cleans the blood off and wraps my forehead in a bandage. After proceeds to the door with the towel, and just before he shut the door...

"Stay... Please."

He stops, turns to me, and turns back to the door and hesitates to speak."You need to sleep Aika." And with that, he leaves.

"Zero..."
