I woke up and my head was blaring like an alarm. I get dressed, wash up and head out with my books. I was almost late to class and I sit down next to Yuki.
"You remember what I taught you last night?"
"I don't remember anything..." she looks at me. She looked tired.
"Did you get any sleep?" I scrambled through my notes and gave them to here to look at before the exams.
"I did, but it doesn't feel like it."
A few minutes go by and Yagari comes in and gives us our exam.

After the exam i noticed Zero wasn't anywhere to be found. Time goes by and the sun was setting.
"Meow. Meow." There was a cat rubbing on my leg as I walked down a path. I picked him up and rubbed his head a little bit.
"Whats wrong? Are you lost?"
"You're so cold...Aika."
"Huh?" I look over and it was her. "Maria?"
"To forget a child even though he thinks of you so much. He's by your aide everywhere."
"You mean Zero?" The cat stops purring and scratches me hand. Last nights memories flashed through my mind. "What did you do with him?"
"He's alright for now." She goes to leave but i grab her hand to stop her. She turns around and looks at me. "But soon... he will degenerate to a Level E. I know a way to save Zero. Would you like to make a trade? In exchange, I want you to do something only you can do." She brushes my hair back behind my ear.

Me and Yuki were setting up the ball room with the rest of the class. She was spaced out while I was helping sort everything.
"Yuki... are you alright?" I touch her forehead and she was warm. "You should go rest up a little bit. I can take over from here."
"Are you sure? I don't want to leave you."
"Im sure. Go get some beauty sleep princess. You need it for later tonight."
"What about you? You don't look too good either."
"You're more important. I thought that the older siblings have to look out for the younger ones?" I smiled at her as I help her up.
"Hai hai. Im going."
"See you later, Yuki!" When she left I felt a hole in my heart. My eyes droop down a little and sadness overtakes my scrambled mind.
I go into the storage room right next to the ball room to grab a few things and I was stopped by Zero.
"What are you doing here?"
"I need you..." He grabs my hand and pulls me close to him. He unbuttons my collar
"Wait-" He sinks his fangs into my skin as his eyes burn bright red. "Zero."
"I'm sorry, I can't help myself." He pushed me against a wall and I could feel all the blood rushing out of my body.
"Ze...ro..... w-wait...." My head was getting foggy. My legs couldn't keep me standing anymore, but Zero was holding me up. "You're.... g-going to...Kill.... Kill me..."
By surprise, I fell to the floor. I look over and Zero was being held against a wall. "What are you doing, Kiryu?"
"K-Kaname, it's alright..."
"I asked you to be their shield, to help protect them, Not to kill them from the inside." Kaname lets go of him and helps me up from the floor. "Are you alright, Aika?"
"I'm okay. I can walk." I stood up and held my hand incase I fell. He walked me outside and I sat on a bench. "Why do you always do this?"
"Do what exactly?"
"This. Help me when I don't need you. Erase parts of my memory. For what? To protect me? Im not a child. Just because Yuki doesn't love you doesn't mean I'm next in line. You cant just do this, its not your obligation. Im not your child, you're pet, your lover, your sister, your anything!" I was angry, I felt like I couldn't do anything for myself while he was here. "I know how you feel, but that doesn't mean I feel the-"

"Would you like to make a trade? Inexchange, Give yourself to me ... or Kaname Kuran's dead body, for Zero's life."
"The next time you open your eyes, you will not remember anything..."
"Mother? Mother?! Don't leave us behind!"

Kaname Kuran
"Kaname," Aika coos. "Who are you?"
I look at her. Her eyes were brimming with tears. "I'm someone you used to know... nothing less, nothing more."
"Did you know my real parents? Do you have something to do with my past? I cant remember anything; Where I came from, my parents, I don't even know if I have siblings or past friends."
A ache in my heart appeared. "You're parents were great people." I knew the words that came out of my mouth she was going to cling to for the rest of her life. "They loved you very much, but in order to keep you safe they had to let you go. You have a younger sister, and a older brother. Unfortunately they died in a accident."
"How did you know them?" She stood up and looked down at me. The tears now falling to the floor now.
"They were people who wanted peace between humans and vampires, like Kaine. But Aika, you should really take a seat and rest."
"I can't... I got a lot of stuff going on..."
"Let me help you." I grab her hand and flinches. "Whats wrong?"
"Nothing I'm just... I-Im just confused." Her shaky voice made me alarmed, curious. "Im going to go to my room for a little bit, clean up and get ready. Ill see you later, Kaname?" She lets go of my hand.
"I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else." I fave her a smile and she left.
