"Before you go in there.... just know she's not stable right now. There was so much blood when Ichijo found her, it looks like she got into a fight." Kaine pushed up his glasses. Him and Zero watched me open the door and I saw her. My eyes open wide from the wounds along her arms, hands, scratches on her face and the gash down her stomach. "He found her in an ally way, her stomach was almost cut completely open."
I reached out for her hand. Barley grazing over it, her hand flinched back. Her eyes were open like she was awake, but she was fully unconscious.
"What happened to her...?" The anger in my tone took Kaine back slightly.
"I-I don't know yet, We've been waiting for her to wake up again. she's been in an out of sleep since we got her back. She's in a lot of pain, too much pain to be asking her questions." I look out the window, the sun was setting fast.
"K-...Kaname..." I heard her voice. I turn back around quickly and she was breathing heavily. "Will you do me a favor?" As she spoke, a little bit of blood came from her mouth. "Get him out."
"Are you talking about Kaine?" The smell of her leaked into the air,
"Get him out of my head... please." She had no facial expression, but tears streamed down her face.
I couldn't look at her anymore. I left the room and shut the door softly.
"Kuran, what happened?" I saw Zero as I left the room. His facial features were full of anger and uncertainty. I didn't want him to go in there. I could tell he was in pain.
"Don't even think about, Kiryu." His eyes glared into mine. "You don't want to see her, not like that... You'll lose all the hope you have left... I'm sure Yuki feels the same as you. I'm sorry, she'll be okay, But I can't let you go in that room, even if that means I have to take your life..."
"Everyone keeps telling me she's okay! I knew she's not. She's suffering because of me, am I wrong?!" He clutched his shirt tightly as regret and hate over took his senses.
"It's not your fault. I think someone is after Aika and Yuki. All we can do right now is wait this out and stand with them. I'll find out who it is. But for now, Yuki will be waiting for you at the moon dormitory soon." I turn away from him and look at the sun falling out of the sky. He knows his place, but he can't help himself. Before he left I said one last thing. "Let me ask you this, do you love her?" He looked at me. Closing his eyes softly, he turned around and walked away.
