"Ze..ro...." Tears streamed down my face as he winced in pain.
"Even if is was just a graze, its still an excruciating pain. Thats because the bullet has anti-vampire spell embedded in it." He looks at him as blood flows down his arm. "Zero...even if you are hungry for blood, do you still have enough reason to resign to your fate?" Zero relaxes as Yagari points his gun down at his head.
"Yagari.... I will not allow you to take his life!" I stood between them. "You do not decide his fate."
"Do you believe that he hasn't degenerated to level E yet?"
"Zero has been in this battle by himself, longer than I can remember. Zero is my brother-"
"Aika... it's okay." He put his hand on my shoulder.
"No its not!" I brushed him off. I look back at Yagari. "If he was a Level E... he would've killed me by now."
"That's as far as you go! I came because I was worried and look...!" Headmaster took Yagari's gun. He saw me and he screamed. "AIKA, YOU MUST STAY IN BED. YOU'RE STITCHES WILL OPEN UP AGAIN. THIS IS WHY I HATE VAMPIRE HUNTERS, YOU DON'T CARE FOR MY DAUGHTER, YOU CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU DO BEST." Yagari took his gun back. Headmaster took off the bandage that was soaked in blood and checked my stitches. "About how long were you gonna let her stand there and bleed out?"
Yagari scoffed, "You were almost bitten by Zero, but you see me as a foe rather than him?"
"The both of you, leave." Headmaster insisted as he took a cold towel and put it on my forehead. He grabbed another towel and a applied a little pressure to get the stitches rid of blood.
"No, Zero! Don't leave...! Headmaster... is he going to kill Zero? Will He turn into a Level E?" Tears still streaming down my face, he looked up at he and wiped them away.
"Aika, I'm here to make sure no one is hurt on this campus."
"Is everything alright in here?" It was Kaname. Headmaster looks at him and nods.
"Everythings fine, Aika just strained herself to much." He brushed it off.
"What happened?" Kaname looks at me.
"N-nothing... I was just hungry and wanted something to eat..." I brushed off his cold stare. I smiled at him.
"Headmaster, I can take over, you look like you need some rest."
"Ah I'm fine I don't mean to trouble you...." Head master looks at Kaname and is taken aback a little. "You know, haha, I am very tired thank you!" He gets up and kisses my check. "Goodnight Aika..."
He leaves and Kaname sits down next to me. He stares into my eyes, and picked up a fresh bandage. "I can never keep you out of mishaps can I?"
"You aren't my father, Kaname." I look away as he puts on the bandage.
"That doesn't mean I can't protect you." He sigh a little bit.
"It's not like you have before anyways, It's always for Yuki. So don't say you protect me, its not for my sake."
"Aika, listen I-"
"You should probably go back to class. I'd hate to keep you here."
"I need you to answer one thing, Aika. What happened yesterday?"When he asked me that I froze, I didn't even remember fully myself. "Knowing you, you wouldn't have had that major of a beating."
"I-... I don't remember..." I look down.
"Do you remember when I came and visited you last?"
"I didn't know anyone visited me." I felt like I was missing something important..
"I'm sorry, I'm probably confusing you. I'll take my leave, get some rest, Aika." He stands up and moves the hair out of my face and leaves. "And please... reconsider my offer on transferring Zero to Night Class."

The night after next, I couldn't sleep. My mind was in a constant state of alert. I felt like I had to do something. I put on my uniform and my disciplinary sleeve and put my gun underneath my skirt. I was running around thinking of places zero could be.
I shouldn't even be this worried.
For some reason I wondered to headmasters guest room. The door was already open. I walk in and I heard Zero and Yuki having a conversation.
"This is the only thing I can do for you." I look through the foggy glass of the bathroom, and I saw Yuki taking off her jacket.
Why did I come here?
I slightly stumble back and I leave with the door wide open. I run outside and my heart felt like it was pounding out of my chest. I grip the collar of my jacket, I couldn't breathe. I stopped at the swan fountain and I sit down to catch my breath.

"What are you doing out of bed, Aika?" It was Akatsuki.
I look back at him, and I could barley see him, "Akatsuki..? I-I Just need to go on a walk." I smile
"Why are you in your uniform?" He steps closer.
"No reason." I smile harder.
"Why are you crying?"
"Huh?" I touch right underneath my eyes and it was damp. "I'm sorry, I don't know myself."
"liar,"
"If the person you love doesn't love you back... What are you suppose to do?"
"Even though we both know that our loved one will never so much as look our way, we can't erase that small something within us that continues to hope in vain. You can't help who the person is or if they're that person in the future. Do what your heart desires," he says as he begins to walk away. "Now get some rest."
