"I've got nothing, I'm afraid." He says ruefully, rubbing the back of his black and white striped head.
I smile comfortingly. "It doesn't have to be anything important. It can be a silly question, an embarrassing question. You literally just say whatever pops into your head. There's gotta be something you want to ask."
I can see him thinking, debating with himself a moment before a wicked grin that makes my heart beat just that much faster spreads across his face. He leant forward on his elbows, ears nearly brushing mine. We're so close I can see the scar across the bridge of his nose, thee way the corners of his lips tuck in and crinkle. "Since I'm allowed to ask anything, Officer Hopps, I might have something. Do you consider me the handsomest buck you've ever seen? You must answer, remember." His voice is flirty and teasing, at the same time. I haven't seen a hint of this side of him in the brief time that I've known him. A new dimension to Jack Savage. Interesting.
Shock hits me, sending a blush underneath my fur, to the tips of my ears. I can almost feel Nick smirking, almost hear his teasing. I'm going to have to keep this part of my night untold, if only for the sake of self-defense. But this seems like something Nick would do. I decide to play it off like it's nothing, leaning forward so that our ears do actually brush.
"Do I?" I ask him, shooting a sly smirk learned from a certain fox. "Yes, yes I do."
