But she did it today, because today, two years ago, he killed himself.

I was sent to the principal's office. Billie had to come over and pick me up. I felt awful. Not because I punched Emily in the face, no - that felt really great. I felt bad because I was making trouble. I should be thankful, but I'm making trouble.

"Oh Liz. It's your second day and I already have to pick you up. If you were Jake or Joey, I'd ground you. But I won't. Just tell me what happened," he said as we were in the car.
"Emily. She's that fucking whore that first was my best friend and then started to bully me and my friends. Now we're in the same school - again. She went too far," I talked. I felt a big mix of emotions. Anger. Sadness. Shame. Usually I would cut when somebody mentioned Nate's death. Billie made a confused face. "She talked about Nate, talked bad about his death," I leaned back and felt tears streaming down my face. As we got back home, I ran straight into my room and turned the volume so high that nobody would hear me cry my soul out.

*Joey's POV*
I liked Liz a lot, don't get me wrong, but I knew she would cause trouble sooner or later. But the second day of school...that must be a new record. I could hear Dad talk on the phone with the principal and a few minutes he was back with Liz. Jake had already told me via chat what happened. Emily said a name and then Liz snapped.
Liz ran past me and straight into her room, turning the volume up to max.

The songs were mostly about cutting and death. I went down into the kitchen to talk to Dad.
"Hey, Dad. What happened? Why did she freak out?"
"Some stupid girl talked bad about a dead friend of hers."
"So she snapped?"
"Yeah. She was insulting her back in Austria. Y'know, jokes about her being suici-damn, Joey, did she lock her room?!" Do you also freak out? He ran upstairs.
"Liz. Liz!"
"Leave me alone!"
"Not after what happened in Rome. Liz!"
"I won't cut! I can't cut! Now leave me alone!" she screamed between a lot of sobs. The music was still on max. Dad sighed.
"Joey, please check on her later. I need to get something done," He went downstairs again. I slowly moved into her room. The music was loud, the room was dark - it was pitch black inside there. Liz was sitting curled up in the corner with something that looked like a book.
"Liz?" I asked, sitting by her side. I put an arm around her. She was still crying.
"I hate her! She knew exactly what would happen. She knew exactly that I couldn't live with the fact that he's - he's - dead," she cried even harder, laying her head on my chest.
"Shhh. It's gonna be alright. She can't hurt you in here. Shh," I tried to comfort her. After a long time she stopped crying.
"Nate and I were friends since we're born. He had also some shit going on at home, and with all the fags calling names after us three, he couldn't take it. He took an overdose of sleeping pills," she told me. "After his death, I couldn't get myself out of bed, I couldn't smile, talk or do anything. Well, I was cutting myself. She lifted her sleeve, showing me three scars that said 'R.I.P.'  "Each one for one loss. I know, sounds stupid. Today, I'm kinda ashamed of my scars, even when I cut myself in June. But back then, I was really depressed and felt insane," another tear rolled down her cheek. I wiped it away and hugged her. She wanted to out her vest back on, but I stopped her;
"Don't be ashamed for the way you fought your way through it. You don't have to. Not in this house, not in front your friends," I said and pulled her up. She took the book, which I saw now was a photo album. She wanted to put it away, but I stopped her again. I wanted her to talk about it and leave it all in her.

As we came into the kitchen, there were also Uncle Mike and Tre.

*Liz' POV*
As we moved into the kitchen, I saw Mike and Tre sit there.
"Lassie!" Tre jumped up and hugged me.
"Tre. Oxygen. I. Need."
"Sorry," he said and let me go.
"Billie told us about the art gallery. Congrats, kiddo," Mike hugged me and ruffled my hair. Joey made hot chocolate. Mike and Tre probably knew already about that what happened at school.
"We gotta go get some things done. I'll or we'll be back at dinner. Don't smash the house. Joey, don't forget to get Jake from school. Love ya, kids!" Billie said as they walked out the front door.
I showed Joey all the pics I had in my beloved photo album. Mum, Dad, Tory, Nate, Agnes. The memories made me smile.

When he drove to school to get Jake, Adie came in. She had a lot of food.
"Should I help you?" I asked as she went towards the kitchen.
"No, I got it. I'm just gonna make some noodles. Jake called and said something about some friends coming over too."
"What?"
"I've got no idea. But yeah, nevermind. Billie called before and told me everything -"
"Mum, we're home!" Jake's shouting interrupted her. "We brought some friends, well, Liz' friends. May they stay for dinner?"
"Yeah, why not?" Aide sighted and gave me a we-gotta-talk look. After they all said hi, we headed into my room. Before I realized that I haven't got my vest on, they already saw my scars.
