Chapter 6

Alisha's POV

It had been three weeks into the second month. We were almost completely finished with the place. I was proud of our work. Just then, as i was standing outside admiring our hard work, Alex dopped down in front of me hanging upside down from a branch "hey pretty lady" he said smiling. "Hi Alex" i said tapping his cheek. Just then we heard a cracking sound and before i knew it, the branch had broke Alex had fallen on the ground. I couldn't help but laugh. He glared at me "oh you think that's funny". I nodded "yes that was hilarious". He rolled his eyes "can ya help me up" he said holding his hand up. I grabbed his hand and as i was about to pull him up, he pulled me down causing me to fall on top of him. He just laughed. This time i glared at him "you're an ass" i said standing up. He looked surprised "whoa ok can i have the other Alisha back. The one that is always smiling and happy". I smiled. He smiled right back "there she is". I looked at the house then back at Alex "hey why don't you come inside". He smiled and nodded and we both went inside.

Brooke's POV

I walked down the stairs and saw Alex and Alisha come in "oh hi guys". They smiled and sat on the couch. "Im gonna go for a walk i said walking outside. I didn't wait for a reply i just left.

I walked in the woods and looked around. The woods were so pretty. As i was walking, i heard growling. I looked around but i didn't see anything. I shrugged it off and kept walking. Just then i heard the growling again but this time it was louder. I turned around and saw a wolf staring back at me. I froze. I took out my pocket knife and as soon as the wolf saw the knife it lunged at me. He was on top of me trying to bite my face but i pushed him up. I flipped him over and i was now on top of the wolf. I tried to stab him but he pushed me with his legs causing me to fly into a huge rock. The back of my head had hit the rock and i was slowly losing consciousness. Just then, as the wolf was about to take my life, a man with faded clothing came out of nowhere. He stabed the wolf once but it didn't die. It started whimpering and ran off. Then i lost my consciousness and everything went back.

I woke up in darkness. I blinked a few times to let my eyes adjust. When my eyes adjusted i looked around. I seemed to be in a cave. Just then i heard a deep voice "you should know not to go this far into the woods". I looked around and saw that same man walking towards me. He sat next to me. He had black hair, green eyes, and pale skin. I scooted away ignoring the pain i was in "i didn't realize i had gone out this far" i said. He laughed "well ya did, if it weren't for me you'd be dead right now". I still sat there confused "thank you but...i need to get back". He laughed again "you're just askin to be killed aren't ya. You can't go out right now it's getting dark and this is about the time the wolves come out". I stood up straight still in a lot of pain "but i need to get back to the house my friends will get worried". He shrugged "well they're gonna have to wait till morning". I sat back against the wall of the cave "who are you" i asked. He smiled "im sure you've heard of me" he said. I shook my head "well i wouldn't know unless i knew your name sooooo". He rolled his eyes "It's Jacklyn". My heart dropped and my eyes widened. He's the one who kidnapped Yvanna when we first got here. I pulled out my pocket knife "You're the one who kidnapped Yvanna". He smiled "i knew you've heard of me". Just then growling could be heard from right outside the cave. A wolf slowly walked in and approached us. He looked over at me "ok i need you to run. The house should be straight ahead from where we are...ill take care of the wolves". The wolf lunged at Jacklyn biting his wrist. He screamed in pain "GO NOW"! I stood up and ran out of the cave. I ran straight ahead and i knew the wolves were following me. But then i stopped and looked behind me. The wolves were getting closer. I took out my pocket knife. One lunged at me and i stabbed it in mid air. It whimpered and ran away. I did the same for the other wolves causing them to run away and also killing some. As soon as they were all gone i ran back to the cave. I went inside and saw two dead wolves and Jacklyn laying on the ground in pain. He had bite marks all over and was bleeding a lot. I ran over to him. He saw me "what are you doing here i told you to run". I sat him up "a life for a life". He smiled slightly as i helped him to his feet. We shuffled our way to the house. He looked through the window and saw Alex and Travis "wait i can't let them see me...don't ask why just get me in another way". I thought for a moment. I had an idea. They were all facing the opposite direction watching tv. I opened the door quietly and helped him upstairs. I layed him on my bed. Good thing me and Carisma don't share a room anymore. "We're gonna have to be locked in here for a while...now that i think of it...maybe i should just leave you in here". He laughed "don't worry i won't do anything to ya i promise. I kinda can't". I smiled "good". I dug through my backpack and pulled out some rags. Then i started cleaning up his cuts.

Alisha's POV

I sat up in my room thinking about Brooke. I was so worried. Just then Alex walked in "heyo" he said. I smiled "oh hi Alex..i was just about to get to bed". He smiled again "ok". I jumped onto the bed and shut off the lamp. "Goodnight Alex" i said closing my eyes. "Goodnight Alisha" he said back. Right when i thought he had left i felt someone kiss my forehead. I knew it wasn't Yvanna because Yvanna had fallen asleep on the couch downstairs. I opened my eyes and saw Alex's smiling face. Then he turned around and walked out, shutting the door behind him. I smiled and drifted off to sleep.
