Chapter 16

Jacklyn's POV

We walked out of the hospital and made our way to Brookes car. We all got in the car but then realized that i didn't have the keys. "Uh..hey Alex...you know where the keys are" i asked. He shook his head. "DAMMIT" i yelled. We all got out of the car and thought for a moment "what do we do now" Alisha asked tearing up a bit. Yvanna hugged her "don't worry I'm sure Brooke is fine" she said. I looked over in the distance and there was a girl getting into her car. I could just do that thing i did before to get her to let us use her car, but I'm a mess. I looked over at Alex "Alex i need you to go over to that girl and do that thing Andrew does". He shook his head "no way i can't do that I'm only sixteen and she's probably older than me she won't fall for that. Plus I'm really bad at it". I grabbed his arm and pushed him over "you're better at it than i am now go". He walked over to her and grabbed her hand "hey beautiful" he said smiling. She looked at him and to his surprise started blushing really bad. "U-uh..hi" she said. He got closer to her face and moved his hand up and down her arm "you wouldn't mind if we borrowed your car would you gorgeous". She handed him her keys "um..n-no i don't mind a-at all". He took the keys and got really close to her face looking like he was about to kiss her "thanks" he said. As usual, the girl fainted and he caught her before she could hit the ground "damn i didn't mean to make her pass out". I walked over to him and patted his back "ya did good". He smiled and layed her on the ground gently. Alisha gave him a look and crossed her arms "hmph". Alex smiled "awe Alisha don't be like that" he said picking her up and kissing her over and over. I rolled my eyes and we all got into the car.

Brooke's POV

I woke up staring up at the ceiling. I looked around and saw that i was laying on a bed. I was so confused. I tried to sit up but realized my hands were tied to the bed frame and there was tape over my mouth. I struggled to break free but the ropes wouldn't budge. I looked around and saw a man staring at me. I jumped a bit at his sudden appearance. "Hey there pretty lady. Sleep well". I wanted to jump up and slit his throat right then and there but i couldn't. He came over to me and ripped the tape off of my mouth. "Who are you" I asked trying to stay calm. He chuckled "the name's Darion" he said. I tried again to break free but failed "what the hell do you want from me". He laughed "oh sweet heart don't worry. The only thing I'll probably take from you is your life" he said getting closer to me "and maybe your boyfriends too". My heart dropped "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT" I screamed. He smiled "oh sweet Brooke...if only your boyfriend were here to save you. Too bad his dumdass self decided to fall off a bridge". At this point i was getting fed up "YOU BETTER SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH". Apparently he thought i was joking "what are you gonna do huh. If you haven't noticed you're tied up" he said. At this point i was ready to kill him "I SAID SHUT YOUR MOUTH". I ripped my hands out of the rope and leaped on top of him. I grabbed my pocket knife and held it to his throat. He was so shocked he couldn't say anything. Suddenly i felt a sharp pain in my left arm. I looked over and saw that another man had injected something into my arm. "What the hell". Darion smiled at me "guess you're going back to sleep". Just then i started getting dizzy. But i wanted to finish what i started. I took my knife and aimed for his chest. But because my vision was getting blurry i missed and stabbed him in the arm. All i heard were cries of pain before everything went black. 

Alex's POV

I was still really confused about what was happening. Jacklyn never really told us. "Hey uh Jacklyn...what exactly is happening". He sighed "I uh had a friend named...Darion. We were best friends. But..we both fell in love with the same girl. Her name was Laila. We always tried to work things out but...i wasn't a very good person. So...she chose him. I was heart broken but...after a while i got over it. A couple days later me and Laila saw each other at a food court at the mall. So we sat down and chatted for a bit. Darion showed up and thought we were on a date so he lost it. We argued for the longest time. Laila tried to explain it to him but he didn't believe her. The next day she told me she was leaving. She was basically faking her death. She told me to tell everyone including her parents that she died. Everyone blamed me..including Darion. Then we just stopped talking to each other". Me, Alisha, Yvanna, Travis, Carisma and Ive all looked at each other, then looked back "whoa" Yvanna said. Jacklyn sighed "I know where she is..and that's where we're headed". We all stopped talking and sat back in our seats. This was gonna be a long ride.
