I'm surprised I made it back home. After such a bad day, I never  would have thought I would survive. I was tired and embarrassed from what had happened, so I went upstairs to my room, kicked off my shoes, and just threw myself on the bed.

Have you ever wondered, what it would be like if the whole world became the exact opposite to what it really is? That's what I kept wondering to myself the whole time as I laid on my bed. For some reason I just feel so at peace when I stare at the plain white ceiling. I make the most amazing paintings on that canvas. My dreams are there as well as my fears and thoughts.

Suddenly, I was startled by little thuds in the ceiling. As far as I'm concerned, my mom doesn't allow anyone other than my family upstairs into the attic. Being the curious cat I am, I got off my bed, put on my shoes, and exited my room.

I ran down the hallway past my bathroom and my parents' room. I wanted to know what had made the noise since I was the only one in the house. When I came to the end of the hallway I opened the attic room door, and climbed up the ladder attached to the floor of the attic.

At first, it was very dark. I couldn't even see my feet nor my hands. I decided to feel my way around to find the battery operated lantern we had. I remember I used to pretend being the Green Lantern by putting on my cupcake star ring and pressing it against the glowing lantern, So anyways, I lit the lantern, wondering if it still worked.

As the lantern lit up I was expecting to see a robber or something. Instead, I started hearing thumps on the floor. There was a shadow on the back wall but it was too fuzzy to recognize. I stepped up with the lantern in hand and I started to see something. It kind of looked like an animal of some sort. I could recognize it's small size and long ears, sort of like, a bunny rabbit. Unable to take in the fact, I rubbed my eyes again. When I opened my eyes, it was gone. The shadow had disappeared. I quickly climbed down the attic ladder and shut the door before whatever it was could get out. I dashed all the way to my room in a split second and stayed in there until my mother arrived home.

I don't think I have ever gotten so little sleep in my entire life. I tossed and turned all night. My imagination made me see shadows and figures that looked evil. I was never even this scared as a child. I gave in and turned on the lights. They stayed on for the rest of what was left of that night.
