The Attic Rabbit - Chapter 6 - Finally, a day out!

2 days later...

     Thank God it was Saturday! After being busy for the past two days I was extremely tired out. I laid peacefully and cozy in my bed until about two in the afternoon. Once I woke up I stretched out my arms and yawned. I got out of bed and put on my black and purple fuzzy slippers. I went to the kitchen to pour myself some cereal while still in my pijamas. Just as I was about to sit down and eat, the doorbell rang. I had completely forgotten! Damian and I had made plans to study together outside of school. He said he would pick me up today at 2 or 3 pm to go to the library. I still wasn't ready!!! With all my embarassment I opened thr fron door so that Damian could come in. With him being about 3 or 5 inches taller than I, he let out a "cute" laugh as he saw me in my light purple with bats and stars pijamas. "What's so funny?!" I asked.

     With those alluring eyes and wonderful knee-weakning smile he answered," Nothing you just look really adorable in your pijamas. That's all!"

     After which he chuckled and turned to go into the kitchen. "Just wait a few minutes so I can change into something less, adorable!"

        I raced up stairs straight into my room. I have always been very fond of my lucky shirt, (which I wore on test days and a few dates). A simple purple blouse with a short black vest to top it off. I slipped out of my jamies and into my black skinny jeans. I pulled on my black boots and tied my hair back into a high pony tail with my bangs on the side. Just a little touch up here and there. I was all done by the minute he yelled at me to hurry up. I grabbed my purse, keys, wallet, and cellphone. I could never bare to leave those things at home.

     "Ready!"

     "Well, it was about time!" he cowly smiled and I felt a blush come over my face without a moments notice. Oh god I was really blushing. I turned myself around to the door to try to cool down but my blush ran all the way to my ears and neck. "Are you blushing?"

"No! and hurry up we're gonna be late!" I pushed him back but he was as stubborn as I was.

"Yes you are! You can't lie to me! Why were you blushing? His stupid questions made me blush even more. I opened the front door and hurried to his car. I tried to open it but it seemed to be locked. "Damn." I mouthed to myself. He came out the front door and walked towards me giving me a teasing smile. "Clink clink" he teased by shaking his keys infront of me. He walked to the front passenegers side of the car where I was standing, just staring at him with my killer eyes. "I'm not opening the door until you tell me why you were blushing. Come on! We're friends! You can tell me anything!"

     What was I supposed to do? Tell him that he was the reason for me blushing the way I did? Under a moments pressure I tried to snag the keys from his hand but he just held them over my head where I clearly could not reach them at all. "Tell me! You know you want to!"

     Out of instinct to protect my secret crush on him all my stupid self said was "Fine! I'll tell you. It's a guy. I got a text from him and he made me blush alright?! Now gimme those keys so I can open my door!"

     He finally surrenderled but immediately started chanting, "Oooh! You like a guuuy and he likes you baaack!!!"

     I pushed him back and ripped the door open as the car beeped. I wasn't going to let him ruin my mood. I stuck my tongue out at him and he closed my door as I got on. He got in the car and we drove off.
