"Move Omega, you're in the way." snapped Tammi shoving me into the lockers in the hallway.
Most people would think that it would hurt, but I've gotten used to it over the years. I haven't had a friend since I was six; everyone in my pack hates me, especially Alpha.
I waited till she passed before I picked my books off the floor, the bell had just rang and school was out for the weekend. I quickly walked down the hallway but was then stopped by Kira, Alpha's little sister.
"Where do you think you're going, Omega?" She said snobbishly.
"To the bus." I managed to squeak
"No you're not. You're going to stay in this closet till the janitor finds you, and then you're going to walk home." Kira said shoving me in the closet, then shutting and locking the door behind me. I heard her chuckle among her friends as she walked away. I slid down the wall and hugged my knees, then rested my head on them.
It had to of been three hours before the janitor found me and unlocked the door; I thanked him quietly and left out the main door. The sky was dark, it was midwinter and the snow was two feet deep. I put the hood of my old wore out sweater up. My house was ten miles away, five miles of it was crossing through thick forest in thick snow.
Three hours later my house came into view, it used to be a small cottage but half of it was burned down by the pack. The fire got put out by the rain, and the damage got covered by several tarps. The only remaining rooms were the master bedroom, a bathroom, and half the kitchen. With no electricity or running water, you'd think life would be miserable, but I have perfected life without power, or water, or parents.
I walked in the door, into the half burned kitchen, and took off my well worn boots at the door. Then I walked into my room, which was at the end of the small hallway. I put my books on the dresser then hung my sweater on the hook on the closet door. I grabbed one of my dad's shirts out of the closet and a pair of sweats from the dresser, these were my pajamas. As soon as my pajamas were on I went into the bathroom and grabbed my brush. I stood in front of the mirror and started to brush my hair.
I looked at my reflection and wondered why people hate me. "Is it because I have black hair? It has to be my eyes, my eyes are yellow. Yellow eyes and black hair, they must think im a witch. Is it because I look like just an ordinary grey wolf?" all these thoughts crossed my mind as I braided my hair. But I knew none of those reasons were true, the only reason everyone hates me is because of my parents.
A loud howl broke the silence of the forest, it was Alpha, and he was calling for me. I quickly tied off my braid and put a smaller shirt on so it wasn't so baggy, slipped on my boots and ran out side. I shifted and ran to the pack house which is nearly two miles away. When I got to the porch I shifted, and was relived to see that my clothes weren't wet from the snow.
I stepped inside the pack house to see alpha standing in front of the fireplace; he was staring into the fire. His mate was standing next to him; she glared when she saw me.
"She's here." She growled in Alpha's ear.
Alpha turned to look at me, "Omega." He said
"Alpha." I said in my pitifully quiet voice bowing my head.
"What took you so long to get home from school?" He said growling.
"Kira locked me in the janitor's closet." I said quietly.
He chuckled once, then glared as he said, "You're blaming my sister."
I said nothing, and stared at the floor.
