Lost and Insecure

Chapter 5

I curled myself into a ball and cowered.

"Sofia." He said

Alpha doesn't call me Sofia...

"Sofia, what's wrong?" It was David's voice

I looked up and saw David rushing to my side. I could barely move I was shaking so much, I couldn't even reply.

"What happened?" he asked sitting on the floor next to me, pulling me to him.

"A-a-alpha w-was h-h-here." I managed to say.

"Did he hurt you?" David asked

"N-no, I don't t-think he saw me." I blubbered out, tears were starting to fall from my eyes.

"Where was he at?" David asked

"He was just outside t-the door, I thought you were him." I said

"I'm sorry," he said pulling me closer, " I'm going to get new locks for the door, I don't want this to happen again."

I said nothing more but got as close as I could to David. I cried into his shirt as I was calming down.

"Do you want to lay down or something?" he asked

I nodded.

He helped me stand and walked me to his bed. I crawled under the covers.

"Need anything else?" he asked

"You, I mean will you stay with me?" I ask.

"Yeah, of course" he said smiling slightly

He crawled onto the bed and under the covers next to me.

"Thank you." I said curling myself into a ball and burying my face into his chest. he put his arms around me and I felt safe, for the first time in my life.

"Are you comfortable?" he asks

"Yes, I've never been more comfortable in my life." i said

He chuckled, "good"

After a few minutes my eyes started to droop and I fell asleep.

I woke up a few hours later, I was still wrapped in David's arms.

"Good morning beautiful, feeling better?" he asked

I sat up and yawned, " yeah. were you awake the whole time?"

"Yeah." he answered

"Sorry, that must have been so boring." I said

"It's okay, it wasn't boring," he said, "I got to look at your beautiful face the entire time, and I realised how lucky I am to get a mate that's more beautiful than any flower, and whose eyes sparkle more than the night sky. That's you Sofia and I wouldn't ask for anyone else to be my mate for eternity."

Tears of happiness were rolling down my cheeks, I hugged him tighter than I ever had before.

"Now you've been cooped up in here for a week, wanna go on a run?" David asked

"I've never been on a run before." I said

"Really?" he asked

"I really haven't." I replied

"Lets do that now." he said

"But everyone else is here, how will we sneak out?" I ask

"I'll figure it out," he said, "dress warmly we'll leave in a minute."

"Okay." I said

He kissed my forehead and helped me up.

"I'll be back." he said leaving the room.
