Notes~ Chapter 26

I lay in my bed later that day with my laptop and TV on the news. I never really watched the news but I liked to see what was going on.

As I started to type "YouTube" into my search bar and click on the website, I thought about how Adam and I always used to watch Shane Dawson when we had Ace, which was basically like a free period for juniors and seniors were they expected us to do homework and stuff.

I wiped the memory.

No. It will never happen again. No matter how bad you want it.

I clicked on Shane's new video and started watching as he did his usual intro and laughed as he made his normal innuendo jokes, until the News caught my attention.

"Current News from Telluride, Colorado.("WHAT CONVENIENT TIMING!" oh shut up.) A young boy was Snowboarding today when he fell off of a drop off and fractured his scull, and may suffer from serious brain damage. The boy is in a coma and can not be identified as nobody was found with him, or has claimed to know him. If you know the identity of this boy please contact us at 1-800-528-8273."

When the picture pops up on the screen, I gasp, I had a grudge it was Adam but was reassured when I saw him. I quickly picked up my phone and punched in the number.

"Hello this is TVUE news station, how can I help you?"

"Hello, I'm calling to regard the identity of the boy in Telluride."

"Wonderful, Do you know his name, age and place of birth?"

"Yes, Adam Smith, 18 and Seattle, Washington."

"Great, and what relation do you have to him." I tried not to struggle when answering...

"Friend." It hurt.

"Is there any possibility you could get a parent of guardian to Telluride for him?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Wonderful, thank you." She hung up and I ran down to Adam's house and rapidly knocked on the door.

"Hello Lilia!" His mom said cheerfully.

"Mrs. Smith, Adam is injured. It was on the news and I called in to tell them that it was him and they said to get you down to Telluride."

"....Alright. Thank you, Lilia. I'll book a flight now." She said in a serious tone and I nodded. I ran back to my house and sprinted to my mom's room.

"Mom, Adam got hurt while snowboarding and is in the hospital. It's serious. I already told Mrs. Smith and I need to get down there." She looked at me in shock and thought about it.

"Go get packed. I'll book a flight for you."

"Thank you mom." I ran up to my room and got all of my things. Who knew how long I was going to be there.

"Lilia! You're flight is in two hours! Are you ready?" My mom yelled

"Yeah! I'll be down in a second!" I looked around and saw Adams beanie. I grabbed it gently in my hand and put it in my carry-on bag. I ran downstairs and hugged my mom goodbye.

"Be careful. Call me when your flight lands." She said.

"I will."

I ran out into my car and slung my bags in the back seat.

It's already set...
