2 years later, Lilia and Adam are both Sophomores in High school.
"Come ooonn!" I beg.
"No! I won't do it." He laughs.
"Why not."
"I told you; It's a medical precaution."
"Oh whatever. You've been wearing those glasses for three days. YOU CAN TAKE THEM OFF." I say, practically hanging from his arm.
"No. This is the only time I'll probably ever tell you that." He says, as we walk out of the automatic doors of the school.
"What's the real reason?" I ask. "We're out of the death trap. What is it."
"Nothing." He sighs.
"Adam." I stop him and hold his shoulders. "Tell me."
"....Nothing." He breaks from my grip quickly and keeps walking. I feel hurt enter my eyes and I look down and take a shaky breath, making him look back at me. I start to walk slowly, not saying a word until I feel his grip around my waist.
"Baby...I didn't mean it like that..." He pulls me closer to him and I look at his sun glasses. I can't see anything through them. His eyes are blocked, and I haven't seen them in three days.
"Adam...please take them off...I love your eyes..." I say making my eyes plead for his.
"That's the problem....They're not my eyes anymore..." He says loosening his grip and looking down.
"If they're part of you. I love them. Even if I haven't seen them." I say, putting his hands back around my waist. He looks down at me and I lift my hands and take off the sunglasses as he takes a nervous and shaky breath.
His eyes are revealed and I look into the chocolate eyes.
"Adam..." I say in awe.
"They're horrible..." He says shielding his face by looking down.
"No....they're beautiful..."
"What?" He says looking back up at me.
"I love them." I smile. I put my arms around his neck and kiss him, still having to stand on my toes a bit, but he picks me up so I don't have to.
"Why would you think I wouldn't like them?" I question.
"Because they're different."
"Sometimes, different is good. And in this case I love it. They're amazing." I put my head on his shoulder and keep hugging him.
"Damn I love you." He laughs.
"I love you too."
"How is it that you love every single thing I bring up?" He asks.
"Because Iove you and everything about you is you." I move me head up to his and put my forehead on his, brushing our lips together as if to tease him.
"Ok now you're just being a tease." He says anxiously. I finally kiss him and feel him relax and smile.
