Chapter 3 – D’Shane POV

I stood in front of the reception desk waiting patiently for the woman to come off the phone. I wasn’t in any rush anyway, it’s not like I actually wanted to go to class no I was fine standing just here. It would give me more time to think about how I would get to Soraya any way. From what I could see she looked like the type who really valued her friends and family, so maybe I needed to become her friend?
Well whatever I plan on doing I need to do it quickly. “Remember you only have one month for this job” I reminded myself.

“Hello Love, what can I do for you?” the receptionist asked.
“Could I have my timetable please?” I replied
“Name sweetie?”
“D’Shane, D’Shane Chavez”
“Here you go sweetie, your first lesson is Shift practise, that’s just out in the field, all your other lessons will be inside today and their pretty close together so they shouldn’t be too hard to find”
“Thanks miss,” I replied.
I quickly scanned over my timetable for the day. Double Shift practise,modern history, lunch, ancient history, chemistry and double maths. Great! Those are totally the lessons I wanted to have on my first day in school :/
Wait $hit did the lady say shift practise????? NOW??????? Didn’t I hear the male target saying he had shift practise first????
Fu~k this is NOT how I wanted to meet him. I wanted to meet him in a calm area, in a classroom or something so at least if he didn’t like me there was no way he could shift and challenge me there and then.
Ahh well I’m just gonna have to make sure I stay on his good side.

“We will start off with a quick game of around the woods in two ways okay, anyone who doesn’t know the game step to the left and those that do step to the right, I’ll be pairing the ones who do not know how to play it with those that do. The pair that win will be exempt from the rest of shift practise today, as a treat from me to them. Understood!” the teacher barked.
I edged closer and closer to the male target and his friend, with any luck the teacher would pick me to be one of their partners, which certainly would make my life easier if I could spend a bit of time in wolf form with the male target.
******* - Cain’s POV
“Cain!” Mr Delaine barked “You can teach the new kid the ropes!”
I could have used my full alpha authority to tell sir I did not want to be the rogue’s partner, but I didn’t. To be fair Mr Delaine was probably the only teacher in the school I actually respected and that was because he treated me like anyone else... NOT trying to butter me up or anything because I’m his Alpha.
“Cain did you not hear me... MOVE!!”
“Yes sir,” I replied wearily, funnily enough, the rogue didn’t look to happy to be paired with me either, at least we already had one thing in common.

A/N : sorry for the short chapter guy’s but I have been really busy revising for my exams.
I’ll try and upload a couple more chapters in a few hours
