Chapter 4 – Soraya’s POV

A/N: sorry for the long update... been really busy with exams and revising... x

“Soraya, Soraya have you seen the new boy??!”

“He’s really fit isn’t he??!”

“I wonder if he’s in any of our classes”

I could hear the girls talking around me, all excited giggling at the prospect of a new boy to fawn over. To be honest I couldn’t care less which was strange of me. Not that I’m a sl@g or anything but I’m not one to not notice boys.  It’s just that lately the only boy on my mind has been Cain...

Like seriously this guy has even been in my dreams... I don’t know what is wrong with me... I hate Cain... right?!?!?!?

Well hate is a bit harsh... but we’ve never really got on. I mean Cain’s the school jock... you know popular player... it’s hard to name about five girls in the school that Cain HASN’T slept with. He’s just not my type... so why have I been thinking about him so much lately???

“Brrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg”

Damn...time for first period... and its modern history now... It’s not even like I don’t like the subject it’s just that none of my friends are in my class so I’m pretty much always alone.

“Soraya shouldn’t you be going... you know your class is like all the way on the other side of the school?”

“Bye girls... same table at lunch yeah??”

“Yeah sure,” they all chorused, and walked of together to Latin.

“Miss Soraya Cole... as popular as you may think you are... I do not think it’s highly appropriate for you to be strolling into lessons as and when you feel like it... do you?”

“Sorry sir I muttered”

“Well now that you have graced us with you presence maybe we can get on with class?”... “Everybody up!” sir bellowed.

It looked like I wasn’t the only one who was late as seconds later the new boy burst into class. Come to think of it he isn’t actually that bad looking. I thought the girls were just exaggerating at first...

“What does this look like to you??? Piccadilly Circus?!?!?!?! Seeing as you and Miss Cole have no respect whatsoever for timing you can be each other’s partner’s for the year... everyone else gather round... whichever name you pick out of the hat will be your partner for the year. MOVE!!”

Oh great!! Dominic won’t be happy about this I’m sure. I know for a fact every single new guy that has ever come to this school Dominic has thoroughly grilled before letting them anywhere near me and I know for a fact one of his little minions has probably already text him telling him my partner for the year is the new rogue.

“Hi... I’m D’Shane... Soraya?? Isn’t it??”

“How do you know my name already???”

“I’ve met your brother,” D’Shane replied smiling.

He’d already met Dominic??? How’s that even possible... we’ve only had one lesson today... two if you were at shift practise this morning ... wait did he meet Dominic there???

“Dominic???”... “You’ve already met Dominic...”

“Yeah,” D’Shane replied... “In shift practise”

“Oh, and he mentioned me??? What did he say???”

“just how he would personally ensure I suffered a very painful death if I even so much as looked at you the wrong way... so don’t worry your safe around me,” D’Shane smiled.

“Are you being serious?!?!?!?! Oh my gosh I’m so sorry he can be a bit protective of me sometimes... arghh he’s really annoying... how dare he say something like that to you?!?!?!?” I was getting angry now

Dominic always does this to me. The only boy he lets me talk to freely is Cain and that’s probably because he’s the Alpha so I can hardly ignore him when he speaks to me. Well I could ignore him really seeing as he’s never used his Alpha tone on me before but that would just be rude wouldn’t it. A minor like me being rude to the Alpha. He doesn’t seem to mind when I’m being sarcastic to him though. He said he finds it sexy. If I’m honest with myself that’s probably why I do it. I know he doesn’t mean anything by it but I’ve realised lately I am starting to enjoy Cain’s company more and more. :/

"Earth to Soraya..." D'shane suddenly said making me jump

"Oh sorry i was miles away... seriously though i'm going to kill him when i see him... he had no right saying those things to you"

"Don't sweat it... if i thought someone could potentially hurt my little sister i'd probably do the same... he's just trying to look out for you... it's only natural i mean you are pretty hot"

At those words i felt my whole face heat up. Luckily i'm not one to blush so D'Shane didn't see.

"Umm thanks, your not so bad yourself," i replied with a wink

D'shane suddenly burst out laughing.

"What?" i asked nervously, touching my face to check if anything was wrong

"Nothing but, Soraya, have you ever seen yourself winking???"

"No is it that bad??? no body has ever told me before"

"Well to be fair to them they're probably to fascinated by your beauty to be noticing your poor winking skills" D'shane smiled

"Wow two compliments in one lesson... i'm on a role here," i replied with a laugh

LOL when i tell the girls at lunch that D'shane is my Modern History partner they're going to be so jealous!! 

******* Cain's POV

“There’s something about that guy Dominic... I don’t trust him”

“I know what you mean... I’ve already warned him about Soraya but I dunno... something is just not quite right about him”

Beep bee. I heard Dominic’s special ringtone playing which meant that one of the pack members had just text him. I hoped it wasn’t anything important... Dominic looked angry...

“Dominic... what is it>” I asked.

“Jake just text me, apparently that D’Shane guy has found a way to be Soraya’s partner for the rest of the year.”

“So?” I asked looking puzzled “you’ve already warned the rogue about Soraya so why are you so bothered about it?

To be honest I was bothered about it too but I couldn’t let my feelings show in front of Dominic... he’d kill me if he knew I liked Soraya.

“It’s like you said Cain ... I don’t trust this guy... come on let’s get to class.... we can sort this out later”

Just the other night I had a dream about Soraya which was strange because I NEVER dream about girls. Especially ones I haven’t slept with before, but there’s just something about Soraya. I mean Soraya’s always been hot no doubt about it ... you’d have to be blind not to see it but somehow I think I want more than just Soraya’s body. I actually want her to like me...

Get a grip on yourself Cain... you know nothing can ever happen between you and Soraya I mean for starters she hates your guts! But what if she’s my mate... Be serious Cain we both know Soraya is not your mate... you’re just too different...

“Cain!!”

“Yeah?” I replied confused.

“Are we gonna go to class then or what?”

“Oh yeah sure sorry... I was miles away... let’s go”

A/N: bit of a filler chapter really but I needed to introduce D’Shane and Soraya to each other... sorry for the long update... will definitely try and upload two more chapters tomorrow...
